Good mornin y'all.
Nothing much happening today. We may go to a certain grocery store for some sale items. We might be getting some snow this weekend, Saturday. I'm over the cold and especially the snow. My body is over it!
I got sick yesterday from a sugar overdose. I went to Buckees with my peer support friend. I had two small samples of fudge and that's all it took. An hour later I was feeling like **** I'll never learn it seems. Still not feeling great but the iron supplement is keepin my stomach in a constant state of upset.
QOTD: I don't have much of a green thumb. If I tried animal raising I'd never eat 'em again. We're thinking of trying growing some veggies this year but not on a big scale.
B: eggs, sausage and cheese + coffee
L: burrito
D: probably chicken and a small salad
Good Morning! It's Friday-Eve but it definitely feels like it should be Friday. We are getting some rain too but I think we get a break after today for a few days. Today is my 21st wedding anniversary, but we celebrated our 25th dating anniversary last month so we don't have much planned.
QOTD: At this point in life I don't enjoy yardwork so I don't think I would. I like the fresh produce and maybe later in the future I'd enjoy it if I had the time.

Good morning gang. We got some rain last night and today it is windy, but 50 out. The temps are slowly getting warmer here in the Northeast.
A friend posted yesterday on FB that he was at a local feed store and couldn't figure out why there was a line out the door. Come to find out people were there to purchase chicks to raise their own chickens for eggs. Now don't get me wrong I think it's great that people want to grow their own stuff, but if you've never raised chicken before then you have no idea what oneself is getting into. It takes 6 months before they are at laying age and by the time that comes around, we will be heading into Fall which means the chicken will experience their first molt. Then Winter hits and chickens don't really lay much of any eggs due to the darker days. So basically, if someone gets chicks now, they will be raising them for a year before they get much of any eggs and that's if they don't lose them to predators or something else. These people will spend more money on trying to have chickens than they would for those $10 a dozen eggs in the store. But what do I know I've only been raising them for 20 years.
QOTD: If you had the land and the time would you grow your own food even if it is just fruits and vegetables? You all know I already do that, but we are always looking for a larger piece of land to be able to grow more stuff. We are hoping to add a few sheep to the homestead this year for both more milk and meat.
B: coffee and 2 hard boiled eggs with cauliflower rice hashbrowns
L: 1/2 Ruben sandwich
D: ground pork tacos

Have a great day everyone!!!!
I had moved to a new neighborhood and the first time I cut grass I smelled what I thought was a neighbor cooking tomato sauce. The garlic smell was wonderful and I was thinking that she might invite me over for a meal. The next time I cut the lawn I realized that there was wild garlic and onions growing in the grass and that is what I was smelling.
I like the four seasons and the nice laid back people in Ohio. Most of them will go out of their way to help their neighbors. No mountains or ocean, but there are beautiful green rolling hills and there is Lake Erie close by.

Good Morning! Today will be a busy day for sure, we are a little behind schedule because of some paperwork from other departments we need to process payroll, but that also means the day will fly by, trying to find the silver lining!
QOTD: I like that we are between ocean and mountain areas, so usually within a 2 Hour Dr. we can be at one or the other. Plus the agriculture is great for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Good mornin y'all.
Not much happening today. We're going to Sam's. I had a very off day yesterday. We did get groceries bu I came home and felt like **** I ended up taking three somewhat naps/rests. I feel ok this morning other than pain so hopefully it'll be a good day.
I'm hoping to get some stuff done today too, laundry and vacuuming. I should be getting a component of my nieces birthday present in the mail. I am excited for it! I got her a book that has a ton of tuts in it...lots of rings and some pliers.
QOTD: the sunsets and scenery. The people are not amongst my favorites. Drive around my area and you'll find out they aren't very nice. They are also nasty towards those that don't think the same.
B: pancake on a stick with sausage and coffee
L: ????
D: stuffed chicken breast and some veggie of some sort.
Happy Hump Day. We are halfway through the week. This meme is perfect for today. I currently have more black garlic in the fermenter and 4 trays of fresh crushed garlic in the dehydrator which are both in the garage, but the smell is so strong you can smell it outside. I had a neighbor text me last night asking if I could smell garlic and I texted him back that I was protecting the neighborhood from any pending vampire attacks and explained what I was doing. He laughed and then asked when he could buy some. LOL
Our HR rep is coming to the plant on Monday. I'm not sure if it is for the employee who missed the random testing or for the employees who have numerous call outs, but it should be an interesting day.
QOTD: What's your favorite part of where you live? I would have to say besides the different Seasons I really like that within a couple of hours or less of a drive I can either be in the Mountains or by the ocean.
B: coffee and leftover quiche
L: roast beef and chedder wrap
D: Sirloin steak on the grill and a salad

Have an amazing day everyone!!!
Such a cute pic! So far I've just sampled the bread but I'm glad she's having fun with it. She has a IG page.
They are getting so big and they are so adorable.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, Jennifer and Menuers,
I have been at my job for 28 years. I get 20 PTO days a year. That includes vacation days, sick time, and bereavement. After you use your 20 days you need to file for FMLA. I have only called off 2 times at the last minute in 28 years of working here. I also believe we do not do drug testing. Sometimes I walk by some warehouse employees and wonder if we should.
Kelly I cannot believe Em is a sourdough girl. That will be rough. Maybe an extra 10 min on the treadmill will help. Good luck navigating that. Also sorry to hear about your losses. I went through a spell there when I was at a funeral every month. Just lucky that has calmed down.
QOTD: Of course, I love the weekends, but I always look forward to Wednesday. I think because Survivor is on, and I love that show.
Accountability: I grazed dinner. I need to start sitting down to a meal.
