Good mornin y'all.

Busy day ahead. My niece Riley has a play at 10 or 9:30. I can't remember which. My mom knows. Then we're getting our hair cut. I am embarrassed about the condition of my scalp. I have psoriasis patches up there that are pretty icky. She may not cut it but we'll see. I have hair now that's past my shoulder and I hate it so I'll be getting a super short cut on the sides with more up top. Still short but I have really wavy to curly hair when it's short so I'll leave a bit up there. No buzz for me lol. My hair has thinned a lot but I still have rather thick hair.

i need to get busy and clean this house. A deep clean. I just haven't felt like doing anything.

I start physical therapy on the 20th. Thankfully I got into the place closer to me!

QOTD: if we had a normal yard I'd say I would happily do it. The yard we have now is very very difficult. There is buried rebar, valves, buckets and all sorts of goodies. Towards the end of my grandpa's life he did some weird things. This house also has an old buried septic tank, it's filled but the valves and such are still there. I had mowed this yard for more than 30 years. Since I was 12 or 13 for my grandpa. Now I can't. My mom refuses to pay someone to do it while she is able. She will not let me mow more than 10 minutes. It does make me hurt a lot...esp now with my shoulder. If we had a small flat yard I could do more. But even weed eating kills me. Makes. My entire arm go numb.

B: homemade breakfast sandwich and coffee

L: unkown

D: chicken and a couple of potatoes

S: cashews(100 calorie pack), cheese and maybe a small latte.

Good Friday-eve gang. We have a tour of the plant at 9am and I have to run to Home Depot to get some supplies for upcoming Clean Sweep event on the 20th. When I get home I have to move a few more flats of veggie plants into the little greenhouse. I also have to see if I can find some lawn mower tires for the zero turn. We've had the thing for 10 years and it's about time for some new ones. I actually can't wait to get out and really start doing yard work. The weather lately hasn't been very cooperative with the rain.

QOTD: Would you rather do yard work yourself or pay to have it done (if you could afford it)? Even if I had unlimited funds I would still want to do my own yard work. I really enjoy being outside mowing the grass or weedwacking. Crazy, but I feel closer to nature when I'm outside working the land.

B: coffee and breakfast wrap

L: leftover Yankee pot roast

D: grilled pork chops and zucchini

30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the vibration platform

Have a great day everyone!!!

I would get a pancreas that works. Diabetes causes so many other problems as I get older. A transplant is possible but not at my age.

Have you ever tried meditating? There is a youtube channel that my husband and I listen to when we go to bed it is called Lovemotives Healing Music. Very soothing and puts your mind in a good space.

Mornin' All!

I really need to get back into this - have been eating too much lately and I need to get back control. I was hoping I'd get a metabolism boost after my hip replacement surgery (seven weeks ago), and I probably did, but between inactivity the first three or so weeks, and too many calories given the inactivity, I did not lose any weight. Boo. (at least I didn't gain, but still, I should have taken advantage of the boost!)

I think I was still regularly posting back in January when we moved my mom into assisted living. She loves the place, thankfully. Loves the apartment, has a group of friends she regularly eats with, and they have tons of activities, and she goes to lots of them! Whew. Such a relief. I'm going over there later this morning to give her a pill (she's really bad with dates and time, so when she gets some prescription, I or someone on the nursing staff really needs to administer it. If it's just for a day or two (like this one), I normally do it since she lives pretty close to me). Then I'm taking her to a doctor's appt this afternoon - and another one tomorrow. They do have a driver at her place who can take them to appts, but her memory isn't the best and she often can't answer questions the doctor asks - or she gives them wrong information. So it's better if I take her and go into the exam room with her.

QOTD: well, I've had a ton of plastic surgery, but I never had my thighs done because they're not awful, and unless I'm in a swimsuit (water fitness classes are my primary exercise in the winter), no one would notice - but I don't like looking at them. At one time I would have added my right hip, but the surgeon fixed it!

B: Greek yogurt with diced mango, toast on whole grain/seed bread with light butter and jam

L: I'll probably have lunch at my mom's place or we'll stop somewhere on our way to the doctor's office

D: either a protein bowl (lentils, sweet potatoes, 1/4 an avocado, cottage cheese, hot honey) or a tuna/chickpea salad sandwich with salad or fruit

I usually have snacks (unfortunately..that is my downfall - esp late afternoon), but I won't be home for that today. Might take a protein bar with me so I don't maw at dinner (or else eat a bigger than normal lunch so I won't be hungry until dinner time...)

have a great day, everyone!

Today's a rough one. Not gonna sugarcoat it -- I'm having a bad mental health day.
But I'm still showing up for myself, one meal and one breath at a time.

ð?¥' Breakfast: Spicy Southwest Avocado Toast
?? Lunch: Chipotle Turkey Bowl
? Dinner: Pineapple-Jalapeño Smoothie -- sweet, spicy, and soothing

? QOTD:
If I could self-heal one part of my body, it would be my mind.
Because peace up there makes everything else possible.

Allergies are one thing I do not like at Springtime and being allergic to everything outside really makes it tough to get things done. So I stock up on Benadryl.
