Good morning, everybody!

Today is a recovery day after the race yesterday. I feel pretty good, nothing hurts, I'm just tired. Tonight, I will jus****ch TV and hopefully, tomorrow night I will be able to go back to CrossFit.

With the end of the race, I'm going to slow things down for the next 8-9 months. Work has got more difficult over the last few months and I feel like I need to bear down to get through the lion's share of my remaining time. So just work and CrossFit during the week and no new travel except for Florida.

QOTD: Black, Blue and Grey. Typical Accountant, I guess.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: catered

Dinner: steak and salad

Have a great day, all!

Mornin y'all.

thursdays appointment was a **** show. They are unwilling to do anything other than push pills. I don't necessarily want surgery but it'd be nice if they gave a **** in general. Their slogan is "the pain stops here" and it's a load of crap. It had me down, still pissed but I need to focus on my shoulder healing then on to my hip.

today is an unknown. We may head to Sam's because we forgot trash bags. I loaded up on meat and have cut back my carbs by a lot. Blood sugars are improving already. My shoulder is making it very hard for me. I'm doing small amount of chainmaille when I can. One of my friends ordered the three earring sets pictured below. They are so pretty and the cubic zirconias are so pretty with the light.

QOTD: I'm lucky that I look good in most colors. I like a cantaloupe color and blues always are good on me and make my eyes pop(they are hazel).

B: eggs, cheese and a low carb corn tortilla and of course coffee

L: ???? Prob a hamburger patty

D: no clue as of yet.

Good Monday Morning Gang!! Thank you Mkess and Mel for starting the thread last week. My colonoscopy went well, but the prep stuff plain and simple sucked. They are using a new pill and they were the size of horse pills no lie. I had to take 24 of them split into two different doses. That was the worst part of it all I don't even take vitamins that were that big.

We have baby bunnies they were born on Friday and Saturday. Not 100% sure how many as they are covered in fur from their mom.

CT had a statewide internet outage for 10 hours on Thursday which was a bummer since we stream tv shows and such.

QOTD: What's your favorite color to wear? I like a light green and have a few outfits in that color.

B: tea and scrambled eggs

L: leftover lamb and roasted potatoes

D: lemon veal cutlets

Heading to the Y for some swimming after work.

Have a great day everyone!!

QOTD- Get my ass out of the house and walk at least 3 days next week. I can't guarantee today as it will be 101 by the time I'm done working and that is just too hot to walk in, even in the shade.

My roommate helped me to finally get my retractable clothesline mounted. Now I can dry more than 1 load at a time. But of course I don't have anything that needs washing right now. I think I'll wash my towels, just so I can use it.

My plan for this weekend is to get the light mounted in my dining room. A coworker reminded me that I shouldn't be on a ladder with no one here. She fell when she was trimming a tree and her husband didn't come out to see what happened, fortunately a neighbor heard her screaming and came to help. So this weekend it is, or today.

I've gotta get to work.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everybody!

The triathlon is on Sunday. It's just a beautiful location: swimming in Lake Michigan, cycling on Lake Shore Drive without any cars and running by the museum campus. I signed up for the Olympic distance this year: 1500 meters swim, 25 mile ride and 10k run.

Last year, I did the Sprint distance, which was 750 meter swim, 15 miles bike and 5k run. So almost double this year. I can't guarantee that I won't walk any of the 10k, but I'm pretty confident that I'm going to finish.

Compared to last year, I think I'm actually a little less conditioned but 1) an improved swimmer, 2) with a real bicycle 3) more experienced, and 4) it's going to be almost 20 degrees cooler according to the forecast.

Today, I will go for a short bike ride and then rest until Sunday.

We will stay in the city on Saturday night because it's an early start on Sunday morning.

QOTD: have oats instead of a Cliff Bar for morning snack.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Italian sandwich

Dinner: Steak

Have a great day, all!

Good morning all and Happy Fri-yay,

We made it to the weekend! Finger pistols to the sky. Pew! Pew! Pew! Does that qualify as attempted imaginary assault with a figurative weapon?

I'm buried under to do's but I'm focusing on completing just a couple tasks today. A new aide is starting to help.

This weekend, I don't have anything important planned so everything is fluid.

QOTD- What is one healthy habit you can add to your routine next week to improve the successful weight management that you already practice.
An extra couple flights of stairs in the AM and PM. Taking my dog to the forest preserve instead of the dog park. Both things are easy and won't take up any noticable additional time.

Accountability- cinnamon roll. I cut it in half and really enjoyed it. Then I ate the other half and really enjoyed it more. That is before the amount of calories crossed my mind.

B: Coffee and Oikos triple zero cherry, peach.

L: Chicken shish kabob, grilled veggies.
D: 4 Buffalo Wings, blue cheese, jicama sticks tossed in buffalo sauce, salad

Pics- a really big tree and me; Burger for breakfast & hand cut fries; Pajun Pancake w Brussels, some sort of teriyaki oyster soy sauce, potatoes

Sorry to be here so late, I just lost track of time today. Hope your pain clinic visit was productive! And oh my gosh that dress...LOL!!! You are so talented, those earrings are gorgeous.

QOTD: Home grown zucchini and watermelon from Hermiston, Oregon. I swear before summer is over I'm going to go off my diet just one day and eat nothing bu****ermelon.

B: My big, frosty protein shake lasted me till 3 pm

D: 3 Oz super-minced chicken breast, 2 T G Hughes SF bbq sauce over 1/2 c FF cottage cheese.

Excited to get my eyes checked tomorrow and order new glasses. My vision has gotten much worse this year, it will be great to be able to see clearly again.

Hope you and everybody else had a great day. I canned fig jam for Hubby.
