Hope your errands were all successful today and that your salt levels were decreased. Don't forget about the full moon...I personally believe in the power of it to make things more erratic and difficult.

Have you noticed a trend in no-sugar sodas in the last year? All the 'limited edition' ones seem to have a vanilla base. I tried the new 7-Up diet one for the holidays and vanilla is all I tasted. Hubby won't help drink them and I don't drink that much of sodas either.

Ms. Opal is so photogenic and you're a great photographer. The pendant looks like a snowflake to me, beautiful!

Have a great weekend.

Hope the stretching helped your back and that you didn't have to do anything at work that would aggravate it.

This weekend I really, really should get some yardwork done since we only have 3 more collections of the green bin for the year. Made the decision to only grow enough garlic for seed next year. Past time to get it planted in my area. The freezer still has pucks of chopped garlic grown in '23 and processed in '24. Then add in this year's (even with supplying my family w/garlic) and it will be fine to take next year off except for growing the seed for '27.

QOTD: Hoping the Dr. will let me stay on the Bupropion/Naltrexone combo. Hoping to find someplace close to exercise that isn't crazy expensive. I can't be trusted to do it on my own. That plus the meds and I'm hoping to be at goal by May 17th. (When I started this.) Also need to make more ready meals for the freezer.

B: The new normal which is one scoop of Pero in ho****er, 1/2 scoop of the Click espresso protein.

L: Topping off the breakfast hot shake with the other half of the Click.

D: 3 oz home canned meatballs mashed into 1/2 cup marinara and 1 T real parmesan.

S: 5 grapes mid-day. A protein shake, rib of celery w/1 T peanut butter for late snack (something in tummy for pill taking).

Going to try to finish up two more garments tonight. One has taken me all week, sheesh I used to churn out projects like that in 2 days. But then, Hubby wasn't retired either. ;)

Ive had a rough week too . Five full nights sleeping uncomfortably in the car - dealing with no wifi or telephone calls in or out since October 17 th through zero fault of my own .

Hopefully it stays on now - last time it went three hours later grrr.

Im worried about LI but dont want to leave - guaranteed rush hour delays because its Friday nite and tomorrow at 9 AM I need to meet with the owners agent - hopefully send ANOTHER $12,000 and finally sign a lease .

My rent will be exorbitant but at least I have sunny outdoor space ( both shared and private ) very beautiful huge rooms and three bathrooms two full one half ( and a gym)

Cant afford the rent w/ out housemates - need to find two who each make more than $70,000 a year and have very high credit . Well gotta do what I gotta do .

My entire LI house mortgage ( including crazy taxes and crazy insurance ) was the same as Im paying 4 this rental ... but it is rent stabilized which means in ten years I wont have to have company - mebbe five.

Car is madly packed w food - today I ate a small white chicken chili and half a chicken noodle soup .

b was most of a ham n cheese ciabatta

I have salads , Indian food which I normally love .. eggrolls my stomach is just being difficult .

I met a cool guy today - he said he admired my lifestyle lol He meant I look like I live out of my car ... which is unfortunately largely true . It will feel WONDERFUL to have furniture, hot food, be able to take baths ...

QOTD- I need to be more active, even if it is only walking. I just need to do it!

I've been planning for when my roommate moves out. He's taking the table and chairs but I have a smaller one that is in the enclosed front entry that I will bring inside. It only has 2 chairs but it is a lot smaller and will fit better. I keep wondering if it is really going to happen. I covet his bathroom with the walk in shower and larger vanity with much more storage. I also want the linen closet since mine is jam packed. I would love this house much more if it didn't have the stairs. 2 bad falls a broken wrist and compressed discs in my back and I am over them. I will miss the trees, but not the stairs.

I wish the market would stabilize so I can buy another house and sell this one for what I paid for it. I could move into my Moms house when she is gone, but I don't like the area and I'd still have to buy my brother out of it. So probably not...

I keep fantasizing about really retiring but I don't see any way to do that in the near future. Sadly I've worked since I was 10 and not any closer now to retirement. Yes I made some poor choices along the way but...

Sorry for being a downer, I really would like to say it is all rainbows and unicorns, but it isn't. At least I am working and getting paid unlike the poor government workers.

Take care everyone, and have a great day!

Good Friday morning, hope you feel better Jennifer. It's no fun to hurt!

Ki d of a busy day ahead. Errands for the most part. We're going to get the dough for the rolls on thanksgiving, it's the frozen stuff...Rhodes I think. It's in shorter supply here so I hope we can find it.

HEB was an experience...I'm neither a fan or hate it. We unfortunately went during lunch so it was PACKED! They have candy cane and pumpkin soda...ewwwwww. Lubbock is the crap hole I remember it to be. We almost hit a coyote on the highway...poor guy but he got off of it in the nick of time as the other drivers didn't give a **** The ride was hard on me...really hard. I get to do it again Monday.

i was extra spicy yesterday. Still a bit salty today but more calmed down, for now. With as much as we need to do today that could quickly change.

QOTF: track and stop eating while I'm up in the middle of the night. I have to eat a little something for the pain pill but I usually go overboard. As usual. I need to be more active. Hoping to see a nutritionist about the RA. Most likely will be doing Mediterranean type diet.

B: pita with eggs and cheese...coffee

L: probably a chimichanga

D: shrimp spring rolls

a pendant I made during the night and meme...of course ms.Opal. Kitten to now.

Made it through another week. Happy Friday gang. I think I slept the wrong way last night as my back on the right side is a bit sore. I'll do some stretching in a bit to see if that helps. Should be a quiet day at work they got the new conference room table done and the closet is all redone, so I'll have more storage space.

Not sure what the weekend holds it depends on the weather. I do have to sex some of the young bunnies as there is someone close by looking for a Silver Fox buck and I have 7 of those just have to figure out which one is a buck. If we don't get any rain I plan on planting my garlic for next year. I also really need to go through my bureau draws and clean things out.

QOTD: Is there anything you plan on changing come the New Year for weight loss or maintenance? I'm going to start really tracking what I eat and drink daily with putting the calories, carbs, sugar, etc. I think doing that will help me get the rest of my weight off.

B: coffee and 2 egg bits

L: bok choy soup with shrimp

D: baked fish and spaghetti squash

Will go to the Y for some water exercises since I know that won't bother my back.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!!

Good evening! Hope your day ended up being nice. I snuck out under the guise of picking up drycleaning and a prescription (which I actually did) but also ended up visiting Hobby Lobby's fabric department and Goodwill. Got a pair of jeans in my fav brand in size 14. They look too small but the 16's I'm wearing now are too big. Maybe the lycra or elastane is going bad on them. I'll find out when the new ones are out of the wash.

Thank you for the tip on the protein shakes, does it only work for the almond milk type? I'm going to be bold and try it with the regular type this evening for my late snack.

QOTD: Once again the MIL has taken over the holiday. A normal holiday would be nice but due to in-law things and the fact that my son is a chef, those things just don't happen. We'll be alone and I'll cook the turkey and reheat it the next day. The grands have no cousins on this side of their family so we are completely boring, I get it. I'm sweetening the deal having them decorate the tree while we just have our leftovers buffet. Might even say they can all wear their Christmas jammies too. That's pretty big talk for it only being 3 weeks away and me being on a sewing bender. Before my SIL comes over we have to do a massive deep-clean to remove as much cat hair and dander as possible. He takes an antihistamine but it only holds him a couple of hours, poor guy.

See you all tomorrow!

QOTD- No plans, I'll probably see my Mom and order from Door Dash or something. She doesn't cook anymore and we don't eat the same things so ordering is our best option.

Glad there wasn't a dead body in the car, but that would have been an interesting mystery. Sorry too many crime shows.

It's been really windy here, so most of the leaves are down, my cats want to chase them since they are flying everywhere. More leaves than rain.

My only plans are to get my hair and nails done. 2pm for the nails and 3 for my hair.

I need to get to work. My neighbors have put out their own food pantry at the street, it is so amazing to see people that really care and are doing something.

My health insurance more than doubled, I'm not happy and I'm sure that a lot of other people are going to be hurt by this.

Have a great day everyone!

Good mornin menu crew.

sorry I missed yesterday. It was a ****ty day. I just felt so blah. My pcp has selective hearing. He listens about the RA and lupus testing/concerns. BUT is deaf on the diabetes numbers. I saw the nurse yesterday. She talked to the doctor about my concerns. He ignored everything. I'm so frustrated. I am not a freakin moron and I don't appreciate being talked down to. I'm also tired of people in general talking to me like I'm an idiot. I'm 44 I don't know everything but come on...I know how to flipping read.

sorry about that spill.

today we're heading down to Lubbock. I have to get an X-ray. Why on earth they can't get the one from here, I don't know. So I have to go down there today and Monday, which is when my appointment with the doctor is...ugh.

we're going to hit up the HEB down there. So wish we had one.

QOTD: we're not totally sure of the semantics. We're doing a traditional meal for thanksgiving. I'm not happy as my dessert idea isn't being allowed and since I can't afford to buy it all I'm out. So I don't gaf. I'm feeling rather salty today if you could t tell...LOL. We're doing a corn casserole with green chilies. I'll be working my ass off and my brother and SIL won't do anything. Oh look...more salt. Hahhahaha

Christmas, not sure at all. I'd like to go out of town but it's not going to happen. I'd like one holiday I didn't have to do the majority of things. I even have to do it on my birthday. I should go on a strike! Ha ha. I'm hoping to maybe pasta... lasagna and Alfredo. It'd be simple for me so it'll prob be vetoed.

B: eggs and coffee

L: something down in Lubbock.

D: ?????

sorry for my attitude, I'll get over it.
