Good morning menu peeps. What a weekend. We got a lot done and my mom did come home finally on Friday. While I haven't spoken to her yet just because I've been busy, we have texted a few times. She said she feels pretty good and will just have to monitor her weight and blood pressure daily to make sure she isn't retaining any water, but the doctor was pretty positive that because she is so active and otherwise healthy, she should be fine.
We finally got the billy goat, and the girls were not sure what to make of him. Bean was being a butthead and being mean to him, while Thistle was like hey handsome and loving on him. He's a cute little guy. The tack sale on Sunday went pretty well. I sold some stuff nothing big, but still some stuff and made some cash.
QOTD: Do you watch things like the Grammys? I never do just not interested in stuff like that. But I did laugh this morning when I heard that Beyonce won album of the year. Just because she was born and raised in Texas and named her album Country Carter DOES NOT make her a country singer. She butchered in my opinion Dolly's Jolene and the majority of the songs on her album are more hip hop/country than true country music. But it is what it is I guess.

Hi gang. Nothing really exciting going on here. Just a nice routine. And it's warmed up a little.
I hope your mom gets better soon LG. Dealing with family can make a bad situation worse.
QOTD: I don't mind the actual flying at all. But the leg room for me is just awful. I really just don't care for all the getting to and from the airport stuff.
Sorry, no pictures. I'm boring.

QOTD- I don't hate flying, I just consider it a necessity. I always have noise cancelling headphones and books on my tablet to read. When I moved to Maui I had to come home to Oregon and pick up my cat and turned around and flew back the next day. That was a long weekend and I wouldn't care to repeat it. My last flight was to come home from Maui. No flights in my future.
The rain is here and they are still talking about a chance of snow next week. Portland pretty much shuts down when it snows. Too many hills and too many stupid drivers.
My lovely Vee enjoying the new heating pad.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everybody!
I'm sitting outside, between classes, and enjoying some sunshine. I will be here about 2 more hours before I leave for the airport. The trip has been good except for a ringing in my right ear. I have to get that checked out when I get home.
On the plan for this weekend is CrossFit, a few errands (mostly online except a haircut) and our towns ice fishing tournament is tomorrow. My older son and I are signed up, but it's been warm and rainy in Chicago, so I don't know if it will be canceled.
I am also excited to review the houses that Marilyn toured and see if we want to make any offers.
QOTD: I have flown a lot. Statistically it's much safer than driving, but it only takes a bit of turbulence for me to forget about that. Mainly it's just a long day.
Breakfast: Ham and eggs
Lunch: Pizza
Dinner: Steak
Have a great day, all!

I am leaving for Vegas 2/9 and hope my trip is as fun as yours looked. Some of our plans are to eat at Gordon Ramsey's Hells Kitchen, a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon with a landing in the canyon and a Champaine lunch on the ground, a SUV trip to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, and a few shows.
I used to fly four times a week and did that for several years. I get on a plane, get situated an usually fall asleep during the flight. I do not want to be woken up for food or snacks. I do put some crackers in my purse in case I wake up hungry.
My favorite trips are when the leaves are turning over Pennsylvania in the autumn. The colors are fantastic in the hills and mountains. Millions of people fly safely everyday. When there is plane crash, people get scared, but it is really extremely rare.
I do feel bad for the people in the latest crash and do not think they will ever know what really happened that night.
It is up to 40 and the snow is melting. I can see the ground for the first time in about a month. I know Spring is still a ways from here, but it gives us hope.
