Have a great day!
I remember the long lines at Weigh****chers the week after New Year's when we all went back to our diets. That would last until about March. Now I make resolutions on a daily basis. As I get older, I find it is important to still set goals and have things to look forward to. It is all one day at a time and do my best to stay as healthy and active as possible.

I had surgery over 20 years ago so not sure that these books are still relevant but my favorites were from Carnie Wilson - Gut Feelings and I'm Still Hungry. They really helped during my journey!

Good morning, everybody!
I'm off of wor****il Thursday. This has been a nice break. if there is going to be a day when a lot of work stuff comes up, it will be today, but so far, so good. I had to take care of one thing on Friday evening/Saturday morning, but it wasn't more than an hour and a half of work to do.
The weekend was relaxed, after the gym on Saturday, I went to the outlet mall and walked around. I only went in three stores and didn't get anything, but it was a beautiful day for a walk. I had seen this black watch tartan evening jacket that I was interested in for holiday parties, but the store only had sizes 38 and 40. Oh, well. Last evening, Marilyn and I went out to dinner at a greek place in town. Marilyn had Moussaka and I had a fish and potato dinner. I have plenty of leftovers for lunch today.
We aren't big New Year's Eve people (Is anybody?), but we will go to Costco today and get some crab to boil for our sons tomorrow night. Other than that gym and a few other errands.
QOTD: I have goals but they aren't tied to the New Year. I think that this year I am going to try the International Distance for the Chicago Triathlon (1 mile swim/25 mile bike/10K run). Last year I did the Sprint distance. Fortunately, I wont be doing it on a 25 year old Huffy that was 4 inches too small for me like last year.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Pizza
Dinner: leftover fish
Have a great day, all!

Why aren't you asking your surgeon to explain? They should also tell you what your weight loss requirement is. Ask questions, advocate for yourself

As my surgeon explained to me, that by losing weight before hand, you are setting yourself for success after surgery. During this time, you're learning a healthy eating lifestyle and incorporating exercise to keep the weight off.
My surgeon wanted me to lose 10 lbs. I lost 40. The biggest regret is that I didn't do any exercise before hand. I wish I had,
Possibly a 100 pound weight loss to show that you are serious about being on a diet. Your doctor will give you the required amount.

I lost about 30 lbs but my Surgeon want me lose more weight I'm so frustrated my question is How much additional weight do I need to lose before surgery, and why is it critical for the procedure?"
