In case you have your notifications turned on, forgive me for not seeing your post before today. Congratulations on 19 years and still in the fight!! So sorry you've had heart issues. I'll turn 19 in December and I hear ya about finding so little online bypass communities back then. OH, Sparkpeople and Sparkrecipes kept me going too.

If you start Wegovy, best of luck to you! I'm on the poor man's Contrave since May and have lost nearly 60# of regain. Sorry you didn't get any replies before but please come back and give us an update on how you are doing.

Grassfed lamb ! Grassfed beef ! You're SO lucky !!!

I finally sent out FIVE batches of bank statements , letters of recommendation and salary proofs , ID s you name it these gosh darn NYC landlords require it .

Total waste of DAYS of precious time ... and mostly for nothing - good apartments get instantly snapped up by the over organized OCD sufferers ( same phychological group as the landlords Im convinced )

No marriage license yet but getting NY State ID anyway ... with partial maiden last name .

Phones still not werking - nasty manager at ATT phone store wont even let me use their phone to call insurance so they unblock mine .

Give some people a little authority ... theyll show U their azz ... and true personalities .. UGLY.

Dad called me today said theyre returning to FL Dec 2 ... well teeth will cost him a lot more there . But I wont let them be pulled so have no clue how this will work since crowns n screws are apparently illegal dental procedures in the US .

I doubt this is actually true but multiple US dentists have said this to me ... and refused to work on my mouth !

Not only do I refuse to pay $8000 per tooth I absolutely refuse to pull out perfectly healthy roots and teeth to replace them with artificial roots ( implants ) . Thats NUTS !!!

b- coffee latte sf ff tea latte one small piece pistachio baklava

l- Chinese eggplant beef snowpea stir fry Im adding barely cooked tiny corn and fresh peas to . Pork flied lice ... wonton soup w scallions

d- cant think that far ahead but probably salads

Finally a doctor who listened and now you have an answer. One of my sisters have RA and she takes some sort of medication not sure what it is. I hope you get seen sooner rather than later.

Good Friday-Eve morning gang. Things were a bit crazy this morning at work, but we are all set now. Today is my Friday and the second Employee Appreciation Day. Pray the rain holds off until this afternoon since the clambake company cooks on site.

Tomorrow we are going to the underground prison jack-o-lantern event, but first we are stopping by Pleasant View Farm to get some grassfed red angus beef. We go a few times a year to get some. After the jack-o-lantern thing we are going to stop at another farm to get some lamb that is also grassfed. Not sure what we will be doing this weekend.

QOTD: Does your town or a town near you hold any Jack-o-Lantern events? Roger Williams Zoo in RI has been doing one for 20 years. There are other towns around me that do them also. I've only been to a few over the years, but they have always been great.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: clambake

D: making a pot of chili

Not sure if we are going to the Y tonight, but if not I'll do the treadmill at home.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Having a really hard time getting ANY food down .

This doesnt sound like a Real problem ... but I get afraid - am I sick ?

I basically live on coffee ff milk salads and ff cottage cheese, veggies n fresh herbs .

Doesnt sound that bad lol!

Last nite I enjoyed a cheese plate - real cheeses fron around th world - bites of truffle brie , horseradish flavored grass fed Irish cheddar , smoked Gouda from Holland , smoked fresh mozzarell and peppery Armenian string cheese . ( w fresh ciabatta garlic bread n scallions)

Because my fat non absorption still works 14 years post RNY Ill be poopin yellow tomorrow ( my body is still Eager to throw out fat lol)

I rarely abuse this priviledge but occasionally I crave cheese - no butter almost no fast or fried food very rarely bacon though .

Had a very interesting day - reconnected w a half- lawyer old friend who lives so nomadically noone knows what to think of him - half homeless ( he sleeps in his box truck a lot - then again he owns valuable real estate upstate and here and also lives on his yacht- like big boats ) Mebbe hes jes weird- "unusual " tb politically correct

Fascinating guy ( got a real education about AI today just hanging out ) .. anyway Im thinking about buying a derelict dredger from his friend to rebuild my 200 foot bulkhead - normally a $300,000 job - I could get the basic dredging and building done for $150,000 wholesale plus me providing $ 50,000 in materials .

This is 55' by 19 foot rusting metal platform held up by styrofoam. No motor to move it ( this is normalish - they get pushed around ) with a derelict mini crane on top , bucketed so she can pick up silt from the canal and dump it on the other side of my bulkhead .

This marine character wants to do pop up parties in NYC waterfront parks with bikini clad strippers pole dancing on a barge - well the crane can hold poles up securely -- maybe a giant lighted mirrorball too . ( he fancies himself an artist lol)

So mebbe well make a deal ... I have NO TIME to be messing w this stuff but the bulkhead HAS to get rebuilt and I dont have the crazy munny to do it .

Then again building a bulkhead Navy style with buried " deadmen" ( full sized telephone pole pieces buried 5 feet underground w a front end loader I gotta borrow ) , corrugated fiberglass panels going down 14 or 16 feet ( slipped in via blowing sand out w giant diesel pumps - dredge has one - Jerky has two bigger ones ) and small telephone poles every 12 feet tension wired in two places into the deadmen underground .... this takes serious SKILLS I am totally currently ignorant of .

Doing You Tube research when I have time between apartment applications lol !

I can buy the dredge for $5000 maybe a little less - fill in the holes , paint it with hunter green rustoleum and fix my dock perhaps ... ( if Jerky keeps it running - hes already trying to back out of that ! )

Later either sell it at a profit ( maybe 25-35 grand ) run it as a woman-owned business bidding on guv contracts ( but I have no time and the guys that do this are a rough bunch ... Id have a hard time getting paid ( of course Id keep an iron grip on the financial reins but alcoholics are a disastrous bunch - never profitable unless theyre half Wall street addictz like me ... ) or just let him pu**** up the Hudson to his waterfront boat storage and repair business there ... this IS the kind of creek- blocking unsightly item you MUST remove from tourist areas before the summer.

lunch - " french " salad from Morton Williams ( potato , hard boiled egg , carrot cubes, fresh barely cooked peas, celery , lite mayo , bit of hot Chinese mustard for bite , s&p .

Delicious, perishable and extremely time consuming 2 make so I was delighted 2 find a bland version on the MW buffet and 2 hook it up best I could .

Also a pint of MW homemade chicken noodle soup ( try to leave out the noodles ) hooked up w soy sauce n scissored scallion greens - very wonton soup like w/ out the mystery meat wontons :)

Wonderful horizontal afternoon nap and long hot shower at LA Fitness lol... small pleasures !

snack - tiny shrimp and avocado cucumber salad

late nite snack - sesame noodle salad , cabbage crunch salad Whole Foods

Back when I owned ghetto section 8 rental properties and a several lot organic garden my contribution ( besides helping to cook and serving holiday dinners as a volunteer ) was to allow crackheads to pick collard green unmolested to cook for their families .

Sometimes theyd appropriate flowers and tomatoes and strawberries too lol - :) at the least the kidz got fed !

It is another pretty but cold day with mostly blue skies, I should be outside putting the garden to bed but Hubby is away for a few hours so I'm having fun bustling around and making as much noise as I want, haha!

QOTD: I've been stocking up shelf stable foods for the usual food drives this season, the Scouts and USPS. We've got many great opportunities to help folks here besides SNAP. There is 2nd Harvest, Caritas Foodbank, The Salvation Army just to name a few. Plus we have a couple of non-organized neighborhood-level food 'banks' as well as many of those little glass-fronted cabinets like the little book exchanges. The opportunity to help is all over our city and outlying areas. I can't afford to donate big checks but it is very doable to just buy a few extra items all year to help.

B: Genmaicha tea, a protein pumpkin pie cup (made a stupid change this batch and they aren't very good)

L: will probably have another of my homemade egg bites, need to get them out of the freezer.

Dinner: Some way to gag down more of that dry chicken breast and not use a ton of carbs.

Snack: a Pure Protein bar and some decaf green tea

It took long enough but I finally got out of the 70's so I have to work hard to get through the 60's. Loss is really slowing but then again I've been sloppy adding more carbs than the dr. wanted. Going to start saving my pennies for some lipo on my upper tummy. The fat is hanging on stubbornly there and it sticks out further than my bustline, ugh.

Hope everybody has a great day, I'm off to work on more sewing projects. Instead of just one, why not work on five?!

QOTD- I know that a lot of people will be hurt by this heartless shutdown. I know that the food pantry's are stretched pretty thin before this. I'm so angry with those people that don't think this is a crisis. Making people work without pay and they just don't seem to give a **** how many people they hurt.

Cool and foggy this morning, it's only supposed to get up to 58 today. I guess it really is getting to be fall.

My roommate has a job, he starts next Tuesday. Hopefully he will be happy and this one will last for a long time.

I see the ortho today and have PT tomorrow. I'm hoping it won't hurt too bad.

Not much else going on, the same old things.

Have a great day everyone!

Has anyone heard from QJB or Grim? I've missed them.

Glad things ent well with the BBQ! I am slightly jealous...ok a lot.

Well the doctor says I have rheumatoid arthritis and could still have lupus. He is sending me to a rheumatologist. Looking forward to getting this all going so hopefully there is something that will help eventually. It may take a while..long long while to get an appointment.

today we're picking up a heater for an elderly cousin. She broke her shoulder 4 weeks ago and doesn't drive anymore anyway. She gave us the mola yesterday. Her house is huge and an old boarding house. So she can't afford to heat the whole house, only the rooms she lives in on the lower floor.

we might do a few other things but I don't know. I'd like a relaxing day if possible.

QOTD: since I am on disability I get snap benefits here in Texas. After paying my bills and such I have 300 left for a whole month so I count on the stuff. BUT not nearly as much as a lot of folks. I won't starve. It is a situation that makes me too angry to put into words.

B: eggs, sausage cheese and coffee

L: ????

D: fish and shrimp spring rolls

Happy Hump Day Gang!! The BBQ was a success yesterday. The food was really good especially the steak tips. Tomorrow we have the clambake that everyone is looking forward to. They started the demo on the closets. The guys are taking the wall out that is in between them and making it one big closet for storage. It is much needed. I'll have to do a Home Depot run with one of the guys to get some supplies.

I have today and tomorrow to work and then Friday off. I'm really looking forward to it as I have a whole agenda planned besides going to the underground prison.

QOTD: What would you do to help those who are going to be affected by the potential non distribution of SNAP benefits? While yes there may be some people who abuse the system and lie about their situation. I know that there are many people in the US *****ly on them to feed themselves and their families. Between the elderly, the disabled, and families who parents do work, but still qualify because they just don't make enough money. I plan on asking my Plant Manager if we can purchase a few extra turkeys along with sides to hand out to a few families for Thanksgiving.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: leftovers from yesterday since I ordered a ton of food

D: Ham and gravy

Hitting the Y and then sorting out peppers that I had to pick out of the garden.

Have a great day everyone!!!
