Topic: What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Good Tuesday Morning Gang!! We started washing boiler 1 to get it fixed. I've got to pick up pizza for lunch for the guys. I've got a new hire from the Bridgeport plant coming today so I can get him started with things since the ops. specialist is on vacation down there. I don't think there is much else going on.

QOTD: What was your first job? At 13 I worked as a dishwasher at a local restaurant. Worked for almost 4 years washing dishes at $4 and hour cash. Not all that bad back in the late 80's.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: pizza

D: roasted chicken

Hitting the Y tonight.

Have a great day everyone!!

I'm so sorry to hear that, we were supposed to have a meet up in Portland soon. She cancelled due to her fear of falling/ balance issues. I'm so sorry I didn't get to meet her. She was always so supportive and kind.

Good mornin Jennifer and the few others *****ad.

it wasn't the best of weekends. It has been proven yet again that my brother and his wife are the most ungrateful bunch ever. We had a picnic. It was my nephews b-day party. They let him eat a piece of pizza and snacks around 11:30 and the picnic was at 12:30. So he ate nothing. He did have a piece of the cookie cake but that was it. We spent time and money on all of it. Had to carry everything to the picnic table from the car because they are never on time to help with that. He wouldn't touch the honey bun cake. My SIL wouldn't eat any of the desserts. Barely ate the food either. The only thank you we got was from the kids. Two grown ass adults that couldn't even say thanks or kiss my ass. Nothing. I needed to get that off my chest!

Today we need to run to the county clerk and go drop off a letter at the post office. Other than that it's a total unknown.

QOTD: I dropped a huge frozen brisket on my foot, breaking it. I think I was 18 or so. No insurance to do anything about it. Still reminded of it every time the weather changes.

B: eggs, sausage and cheese with coffee of course

L: burrito

D: veggie lasagna

A piece I made this weekend.

Good Monday Morning menuers. The weekend was pretty good. Got some stuff done outside and went to watch Mason's football game on Saturday. His team won. We could tell the coaches are teaching them more stuff. Mason blocked a couple of times and got a touchdown.

I got sucked in the Packers vs. Cowboys game last night and stayed up to watch the entire game. Running on fumes right now. Pulled into work this morning and thought the plant was on fire there was smoke billowing out of the boiler house. Come to find out boiler 1 is plugged bad we are trying to get the water wash crew out to clean it. They have the office doors open as it stinks in here big time. I'm actually wearing a mask it smells so bad. I should have called out today.

QOTD: What's the dumbest way you hurt yourself? I was playing with the dog Saturday and somehow slipped on I think a rock. My right leg went sliding forward and I heard a pop. From my butt cheek to the back of my knee my muscle hurts. It was horrible Saturday to the point trying to sit on anything was not good. It feels better today, but I have to be careful of how I move or I get a Charlie horse in my thigh.

B: Coffee and protein shake

L: bok choy soup

D: hamburger and salad

Have a great day everyone!!

QOTD: Halloween candy can sometimes do me in, but my biggest thing is comfort foods like shepherds pie, chicken and dumplings, stuff like that. I love to cook and in the Fall nothing is better than having a big pot of beef stew going or a boiled dinner and baking a fresh loaf of bread to go with them.

Good morning all and Happy Friday,

It's going to be a beautiful day. 80s and sunshine. Maybe the last one of the year?

I'm a big mess right now. I have a lot of challenges and my motivation is almost non existent.

That said, I am trying to do some self care along the way. This weekend, I'm going on a nature walk, Hyde Park Jazz Fest, speaking at an event Friday, some folk/country music at a new venue Sunday night. I haven't seen my mom in a while so may get together with her and my sister for a meal.

QOTD- What are your biggest eating challenges of the fall and Halloween season?

I have pumpkin spice, which I allow myself two pumpkin drinks. Halloween candy is my love and nemesis. I like that you can try different types without committing to a whole candy bar. My mind sees that as an invitation to eat everything in sight. I end up binging if I'm not careful.

Accountability - 3 Buffalo wings, one Korean wing.

B: lox, cream cheese, cucumber. Yogurt.

L: Al pastor Taco in a bowl.

D: ???

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 208 lbs 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

"I wonder if pizza thinks about me, too."

Good mornin y'all.

not just a whole lot planned for the day. We'll go to the thrift store. Maybe Walmart but I doubt that. Yesterday we got a shelf for my room and we put that together. The old one I had was coming apart...literally. It's a lot taller than the old one too so extra storage! We've been cleaning a lot and getting rid of a lot too. Especially my mom and her clothes.

I am feeling a bit better with the lung thing. Hopefully that'll continue to improve!

I'm hoping to have time to work on my room today. Half is done but the other half is daunting.

B: biscuit and pumpkin spice butter of course coffee too.

L: burrito

D: no clue!

the lady is my 3x great grandmother. The rest are of course memes.

those pumpkins look great btw! I love it when they still have huge stems!

Good Morning gang. Looks like today is going to be a nice day. I have some office chairs that I'm hoping to repaint the chrome. When Covid hit we had to sanitize everything twice a day and the sanitizer solution we used after a while put some rust spots on the legs of the chairs. So I figured I would sand them a bit and then spray paint them with a chrome paint. We might go watch Mason practice football tonight and tomorrow we have to go get 10 round bales of hay. Other than that not much else going on.

QOTD: Can't think of anything right now. If someone wants to put one in feel free.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: ham and cheddar wrap

D: fried eggplant with ricotta cheese

No Y tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Some of the pumpkins we grew. There are still 6 more in the garden.

I have used the pb powder in the past. The almond butter powder is good too!

I found skinny syrups has a wedding cake flavored one that makes the chocolate taste really good. I addd a drop of coconut extract and it tasted like a mounds candy bar.

thanks! I could actually really use a hug.

I use skinny syrups. It doesn't take very much but I love the chocolate shake with the wedding cake flavored syrup!

I found the jimmy dean ones at Sam's that are turkey. Not my absolute fav but better than any I've had so far. My absolute fav sausage is by applegate farms. It's maple chicken sausage. So so much better but a lot more pricier. I get one bag a month (almost 13 dollars) and try to make it last. 3 sausage links are a serving but I usually just have 2. They also have patties.

I have seen exactly one episode of the mandolorian because I was basically forced lol.
