I look forward to seeing it! I loved it!
mornin y'all!
Yesterday's PT kicked me right in the butt. I am so so sore. Two days of rest then another session Friday. My a/c died last night so we have to put in the extra one we have today. It's going to be up in the upper 80's and lower 90's for the next 7 days. So sleep was nonexistent pretty much. Maybe an hour or two. It's an easy fix so it's just one bad night. Thankfully we have an extra one!
Our couch came in yesterday. They will deliver it Friday. Yay! So excited! I hated our old one so much and never sat in it. It was truly the dogs couch. It stunk and was slathered with spit and hair. They won't be able to get on this one while we're not here and on it. We're going to make a raft of cheap pool noodles to keep on the seat.
QOTD: story of my life. I love gadgets of all kinds. I like to figure out how to use them and then I tend to forget about them. The cricut wa neat at first then no one appreciated what I made so it went sour for me. Cook books. When I'm in a manic mood it's worse for impulse buying.
B: breakfast burrito, coffee
L: not sure. Maybe a wrap from Burger King. Depends.
D: chicken satay.
Morning gang. Halfway through another week and finally see some sun. Of course this weekend is going to be a total washout. Really getting sick of the rain especially on the weekends my only time to do a lot of stuff outside.
I had a meeting with my plant manager and the lead FA1 and we talked about scale coverage late yesterday. I will be covering from 7am to 4pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I do have my fourth of July week off. I found out that when you are out on FMLA you do not accrue PTO time so Renee is going to be in for a rude surprise when she finds out she is not going to have 30 hours of time off that she thought she would have. I also found out that she was bragging to other co-workers that she could have only taken 2 weeks out since the procedure she was having done wasn't very invasive, but she wanted the Summer off so she could ride her new motorcycle. You know what they say Karma is a *****
QOTD: Have you ever just spontaneously bought something because you thought it would be useful? I didn't, but my husband did. Last Winter he bought the goats this huge, heated dog mat because he thought they would be cold. It is still in the box.
B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and onions
L: salad with cottage cheese
D: ribs on the grill
30 minutes on the treadmill
Oh Mel I bought that tapestry and I plan on hanging it up in my office. When it comes in I will take a picture.

Thank you! It is frustrating but i doubt it'll change. Tange is my little orange kitty, we found her up in our elm tree in the fall of last year. She is such a sweetheart so I guess that's why it's so hard to deal with.
PS...how you know your RNY is still fully intact 18 years after your surgery: try to eat meat and broccoli and after three ****tail fork bites of each it is now stuck. Dang, I needed this protein, calories and fiber today.

Happy Tuesday, would anybody like some of our heat? 97 yesterday (forecast was 94 with a Heat Advisory) same forecast today and probably hotter. One good thing about our scorching summers is we don't generally have humidity. With the heat I'm back to ginormous icy shakes in the morning that often satisfy for breakfast and lunch.
Tip: for you if you get frustrated by home made frappes and shakes separating into slush and liquid: add 1/8 - 1/4 tsp of xanthan gum. It keeps the mixture bound together and more enjoyable. I have a Vitamix and really pile on the ice to create volume so the xanthan gum helps.
PT finally started yesterday and the assessment was embarrassing and made me determined to make progress. But I was in so much pain yesterday after. Have to find my exercise ball and re-inflate it for part of my home exercises. Hope it isn't cracked with age! lol
Jennifer- Sorry your job is being inconsiderate. Reminds me of the military expectation- 'Do More with Less'. So often one person is required to do the work of two or more, crazy.
Melody- I hope your PT goes better and what is Tange? Must be awful if your kitterses have to be separated from the household, may they recover quickly.
Jim- Your posts about the exercise you're able to do are inspiring and give hope for getting mobility back to be able to do real exercise. Keep up your great work.
QOTD- No but I wanted to every.single.shift the last year at my job. S*xual harassment's no joke, when you get HR involved then it's unpleasant and uncomfortable in a small (local) organization. I actually sought hysterectomy for an excuse to quit because it was a physically demanding job. Was repaid with surgical complications for that white lie. And I'm a weenie not wanting to cause any unpleasantness. Continued to have nightmares about the harassment for several years. I did get fired when I was a teen from a so-called designer (claimed her lines were all the rage in Vegas) because she wanted me to put rolled hems in knit chiffon with a home sewing machine. That is super difficult and they all came out awful. Her whole setup was sketchy and my mother always swore it was a 'front for dr*gs', that was one of Mom's pet sayings. The firing was done unprofessionally and shot my confidence. Eventually got a job in retail but the firing did teach it can be survived.
B&L- Chocolate Protein/Collagen SF Almond Milk frappe.
S: 1 cup watermelon
D: 1 slice meat crust pizza and steamed broccoli.
LS: 2 tb ch-ch-ch-chia seeds in 24 oz water (going to try to work this in daily for extra fiber)
I've got one week to hopefully get to 15 pounds loss for my tele-appointment with the dr.
Stay cool everybody!

That was pricey! Found a less expensive one on Amazon, posted the link below!
Good Afternoon, wow that sounds super stressful and I can understand why it feels overwhelming. I like to be able to plan ahead and it has been hard with some people I have to get data from procrastinate.
QOTD: I don't think I would unless it was a really bad situation.
My menu is pretty much the same and for dinner I am thinking pizza with one of my Joseph's flat breads that I picked up since I haven't had them in awhiel. Vits/Exercise and water on track for the day.
I hope everyone is having a great day.
Me too! I went looking and found it on Etsy at a shop called ComfyNoodles. A bit out of my price range but oh so cute!

I never quit a job without notice but I was fired once. I took a job in an office and did not like the person I was working with. Something bothered me about her husband who I believe she had broken up a marriage to get him. I was 19 and very religious at the time so to me she was a bad person. We clashed on everything and my work was not good because I could not really concentrate and I stopped caring. I was still shocked when I got fired.
Getting fired turned out to be the best thing that happened to me. Once you go through that you learn that you can survive it. Within a week I had a job where I loved the work and all the other people in the company. I stayed there until I job married and decided to go to beauty school and become a hair stylist.
Twenty years later I went back to doing office work but before that I went to college and got a degree in computer programming. I never go fired again but that was partly good luck. Once I was part of a group of over 900 employees doing work to prepare for year 2000. That team was no longer needed and most were let go. Only 20 of us kept out jobs.
Jennifer, the reason they are doing that to you is because they know you are the person who will step up to the plate and do your best. It may not be perfect, but it will be better than anyone else will do. They know you are dedicated and reliable. See if your management will consider also hiring someone temporary to help with the increased work. Sometimes I trained a temp worker and then ended up hiring them as permanent employees because they were good workers and fit will in the company.
Hang in there and do your best. Thing will work out.
