For now, I went very low end off of amazon to see if I would even like it. If I get into the groove of it then I can upgrade with a higher end. The brand is Hartwares and so far I like it, just trying to get the right rythm and form so I don't cause any injuries.

Good Thursday morning all.
today we have a plumber coming out to do the kitchen line and replace the insides of the toilet in the house. Thank goodness we have the one in the garage! It just started to run non stop so we turned it off. Will be so glad to get it fixed. I've hated that Koehler thing since it was installed, the plumber my grandma used only used those in handicapped toilets. Yes that plumber was an ass LOL. We also have to do the last payment on property taxes.
i am hoping to get in a walk or stationary bike ride. I did find out that my CT scan for my shoulder will be on the 7th unless my orthopedic doctor says I should wait longer after my myelogram on the 5th.
i had a lot of candy yesterday and I can't even say why. And it did indeed make me sick eventually. Lesson learned...for now anyways lol.
QOTD: it was on the literature my doctors office gave me. I've made a lot of friends, some not on here anymore but I still see them as friends. I've had some folks not be nice but the nice people way out weigh the bad.
B: eggs, cheese, turkey sausage and coffee
L: not sure as the plumber will be here around then
D: green chili chili! Excited to try this out. Will report tomorrow!
old photo at the end and two memes.
Good Friday eve gang. So yet again Primo brand water did not make the scheduled delivery to work yesterday. It seems like ever since they merged with Ready Refresh and another company, I have to call for every delivery because they either reschedule it or just cancel it. They will not like what I have to say to them when I have to call again to find out where my delivery is.
In other news the state police stopped by work to let us know that skeletal remains were found in the water by the boat launch that is off our access road to the plant. A week or two ago a body was found at the boat launch and we still don't know how that person died.
QOTD: When and why did you join OH? I had to look at my profile because honestly I thought I had joined in 2003 after I had the Lapband done, but I was wrong it was in 2005. I do remember the reason. I was having at the time minor issues with the band and trouble with fills. So, I searched the internet and stumbled upon OH. The site has definitely helped me along my journey.
B: coffee and 2 egg omelet with spinach, onions, and cheese
L: salad with chicken salad on top
D: grilled pork burgers
Swimming at the Y.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Boy do I get the food fatigue part. It's been to hot in our kitchen to cook a lot but I've been using it as an excuse. I have no desire to fix real food. I am going to try really hard to fix a real meal every other day and then increase it from there.
as for plateau busting. I usually bust mine by have about 150 to 300 calories of additional calorie allowance for a day. I know it sounds odd but it is what works for me and mounjaro. I try to let it be something extremely low carb.
hope the carb cutting works great for you! Crossing finger so ya!

Super late post for me. Yesterday just got away from me.
My mom had a sonogram on her liver. She's been rather high wired the past few days. It's been stressful but it's just what it is. Despite all that stuff I am doing a tepid ok and I'll take that gladly. My CT scan with contrast is going to most likely be next Thursday the seventh. I'll be glad to get both scans done with. This'll be my 5th myelogram.
I didn't get to making the chili but I'll be making it today. Hoping it'll be edible. I'm not following a recipe so it's kind of fly by the seat of your pants.
QOTD: therapy...can't say that enough. I did not handle the back injury well at all and I think if I had taken the therapy suggestions I would have been able to continue on a successful path. I think it's a great tool that a lot of people probably need. I crashed and burned and started with a therapist way too late. Not that I minded the therapy, it helped with other things. Exercise had been a therapy of sorts and when I couldn't do much anymore I almost gave in.
B: protein bar, egg, feta and coffee
L: I unfortunately had a late breakfast and had a cold brew and the breakfast potatoes at Wendy's. It ended up with a spike in my BS of course. I also had a couple of pieces of candy(a mini cherry mash - 70 calories and a Hershey fun size - 60 calories) oh and 5 peanut M&M's. All the chocolate sans one is out of site. My mom went a little crazy with chocolate because she's worried about the august 1st tariff thing. She's much much better at pacing herself. I am not. BUT it's my fault for putting it in my mouth!
D: burger pita thing, cracker sticks with cheese dip thing. Oh and baby carrots.
all in all I ended up with 2048 calories. Could've been worse but it also could've been a lot better. No chocolate today.
You're right...how did it get to be the end of July already?
QOTD: I'd have gotten into therapy for finding ways to deal with overeating addiction. Starting the generic of 'Contrave' in May was a wakeup call that I am truly addicted to overeating and eating for comfort. (The Naltrexone component works particularly well for addictions.) But I had young kids and a crazy-early job and couldn't make the time for it. I didn't start the regain until the 10th year when a stress event triggered big life changes and I didn't cope in a healthy way.
Haven't done much of what I need to do because I tweaked my upper back last week and it's worse every day. It must be a pinched nerve because I have pain going straight from my right scap across and down the right arm into my hand. My dr. said to be icing/heating it and rest it. The rest part is hard.
Thank you for the help on my plateau...I'm attacking it by cutting carbs even more (dr. said to keep under 20 for the day), remembering to push the water and keep exercising what doesn't hurt, haha.
B: coffee with sf Choc/caramel creamer
L: my beloved protein/collagen shake
D: probably an egg bite with green beans and zucchini since I'll be making a fresh batch of egg bites to freeze today.
Better start those egg bites!

Last year I quit driving. I pay for rides now but dont have the problem of dreading being in traffic anymore. The drivers are younger than me and calm and composed on the road. Like I used to be. Where I live senior rides are either free or $2 each way. I do tip the drivers well so they are quick to pick me up. You may feel better using Uber or Lyft for local trips. Buses can also be a good source of transportation when you don't want to drive.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Chrissy, Shelly was active on the RNY forum when I was in '06, her surgery was 6 months before mine. When you got a reply from her it felt like getting to talk to a celebrity. But I mostly hung out with my surgery month group and also the Washington state group so I didn't get to know her very well. Sadly, OH dumped all those old boards years ago. I remember her getting very fired up over the Obesity Action Coalition, taking part in their conventions and even going before Congress to gather support for changing the insurance laws to allow more people access to bariatric surgery. She is currently listed on the Governance and Financials staff on the OAC web page as Senior Program Manager.
It was always fun reading her blog, she'd get on a kick of making a bunch of different versions of one thing in a row. I'm glad she left it up to share with others.
Thank you for the link to the Zucchini Spaghetti...I'm going to zip over to have a look.

Water, of course...duh! lol I have to remember that especially because of being on the Wellbutrin/Naltrexone combo. The one side effect that isn't going away is dry mouth and that extends to dry eyes as well. I'll make myself some notes to drink more. And I'll get a batch of egg bites made today too, thank you for the good reminders!
