Good mornin Jennifer and everyone! Your plants look great!

We unexpectedly have the kids until 6 today. My mom is going to pick them up then I have PT this morning at 10.

We had severe weather in my general area last night. Lubbock, where Texas tech is almost got hit by a huge tornado. They got a lot of hail & wind damage and some flooding(they always flood). Morton which is close to them had a huge wedge tornado move by them. The videos and pictures coming out of there are amazing and scary as heck. I'll attach a photo of a mobile radar that was VERY close to the tornado at the end of my post.

I hope to chainmaille today quite a bit. I have one load of bedding to wash and put away. After PT I might not feel up to either but I'll try. Tuesday it kicked my ass. My shoulder hurts really bad and somehow I've managed to hurt my other arm around the elbow. When I try to lift things and raise my arm. It's been around a few weeks but I hope it'll stop soon.

we ended up getting Thai food yesterday. They have a new thing that's just meal and veggies in a low sugar sauce/broth. So so good. I can't eat rice and rice noodles are even harder on me. So happy they finally have something other than satay that I can have.

QOTD: I can do whatever fits at the time. I'm a big fan of breakfast foods anytime but like this morning I can do without regular breakfast stuff. Though I am not proud of my choice this morning! LOL

B: 6 totinos pizza rolls. Coffee. I was lazy this morning for sure.

L: egg, street size tortilla and what's left of my Thai atkins bowl I got at the Thai place yesterday.

D: not sure on this one. It may end up being a PP shake.

Happy Friday Gang. We are almost done with the audit they are wrapping it up at 11am today so we are having a closing lunch then which is just deli sandwiches. I think we did really well, but we will see if they recertify us. Irvin went over to his sister's house yesterday afternoon to help her with her baler. It would pickup the hay and she didn't know what was wrong. He got it all straighten out and showed her how to properly use it.

When I got home yesterday it was still so hot out that I decided just to water everything and wait a bit for it to cool down before I did anything outside. By the time it was cool enough I didn't feel like doing anything so just took some picture of what is left to put in the ground and how the plants are doing. We have some summer squash and peppers coming in and the garlic scapes are starting to curl so I will be cutting them probably next week.

QOTD: Do you prefer actual breakfast foods for breakfast or would you eat anything? Doesn't really matter to me. I usually have some sort of egg thing just because I have an abundance of eggs and they are easy to make, but I have had all sorts of stuff for breakfast including a salad just because that's what I felt like having. To me I eat what I know is going to fuel my body to get me going for the day.

B: coffee and egg/cheese omelet

L: deli sandwich

D: grilled haddock

30 minutes on the treadmill

Here are some of my pictures from last night. Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!

Here is how I deal with leftovers. I look at them and tell myself they will either go into the garbage or into the sewer system. Do I really need to run them through my body and put them in the sewer. The answer is a definite No and they go into the garbage.

Happy Thursday everybody. Hope the final day of your audit is short and sweet! Sorry I didn't participate in Wednesday's menu-- I'm stumbling a bit with food. Contrave works so well that it's hard choosing to eat and the leftovers from half-eaten meals are piling up. Waste is bad but I may just chuck them to get rid of eating pressure. At the 1 month mark I'm allowing back a few wheat products weekly and hope that a Carb Master tortilla will be appealing.

Grandson #1 has his final softball game tonight and there's a LOT of walking to get to the diamond. I'm worrying will my worst leg swell immediately, embarrass myself by falling or be a spectacle trying to get up out of a chair. I can't wait for PT to start next week. Too bad Contrave doesn't fix compulsive worrying, haha. Keeping focused on how fun it will be to see him play. He went from newborn to 10 in the blink of an eye.

QOTD: I used to love sitting in on meetings because it took me off the sales floor (loved customer service but dreaded cashiering). Extended classes? No, they usually made me get sleepy and that's embarrassing, lol.

Here's how I hope today goes:

B: SF Almond Milk Collagen Latte

L: 1/3 c Shiratake noodles, 2 T spaghetti sauce, 1/2 c LF cottage cheese

D: 2 romain leaves, 2 oz turkey breast, 2 slices tomato, 1/4 c. avocado

Game Snack: Fairlife Protein shake

LS: 1 stalk celery, 2 T peanut butter

I hope everybody has a great day and enjoys nice summer weather. It will be 83 today then we climb to the 90's for a few days (way too hot for me) and come down again to perfection: mid 70's.

Good morning, everybody!

Today was like the 3rd day in a row where I woke up feeling like it was Friday. Oh, well, tomorrow it will be for real.

We had a great time on our fishing trip, but coming home on Sunday evening definitely made for a long week.

Today we are doing a charity event for work and it is being held up by the Wisconsin border. So it should be a fun day, but also a long drive home. I would like to get to CrossFit tonight since Marilyn is playing tennis.

We have lunch and dinner at the event, lunch is Panera and dinner is pizza.

QOTD: I'm not going to lie, it hurts my butt and back to sit still for so long.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: sandwich or salad

Dinner: Pizza

Have a great day, all!

Jennifer: sounds like things are going well and the audit will end today. Audits are always a bit stressful no matter what you did to prepare, so you will be more relaxed when it is over. I used to work with auditors all time and worked to prepare our staff for audits. Make sure their work was up to date and they understood what to say when questioned.

One of the things I told them was only answer the question, don't elaborate. I would say "Do you have a watch?" They would look at their wrist and then say "Yes it is 2:15." I told them that is the wrong answer. The correct answer is "Yes" or "No". Do not add anything else. I was in charge of security and sadly I knew where some of the bodies were buried and did not tell the auditor anythng that they were not resourceful enough to ask about. If they asked the right question we answered honestly but if they did not ask we did not tell.

I loved meetings as long as the agenda was planned and stuck to. I started after high school as a clerk and saw the "important" people going to meetings. After I finished college I was working jobs where planning and meetings were needed. I enjoyed all of it. The big conference rooms with tables and comfortable chairs and different types of speakers and agendas.

It was 89 here yesterday. I did not switch on the air conditioner because I did not feel that warm. The furnace is off and the house is at 72 and that feels good to me. I will be switching it to air if it gets above 74. I don't mind the heat but other people would.

Mel: that is a strange pliers. Almost looks like a torture device.

I'm 100% with you on the intrusive thoughts that would be me also. LOL

The pliers made me scratch my head so I had to look them up and low an behold I found a tutorial about how to use them. I actually think they might be helpful for you Mel when you do the chainmail.

Mornin y'all!

we got a lot of rain during the night. Supposed to get severe stuff today but I'm hoping that doesn't happen.

Feeling kind of rough around the edges today. Not sure what that's about. Hopefully it'll wear off as the day goes by. I need to work on chainmaille today. I have two bracelets to finish then I have an idea for a necklace that I think will be killer. I got the general idea from a fellow chainmailler/friend. Hoping it'll be as good as I'm hoping.

QOTD: not my thing from what few times I've had to do it.

B: egg, low carb street taco size tortilla, Gorgonzola, 2 crackers and coffee

L: depends on what if anything my mom decides to do today.

D: thinking chicken stuffed with Brie

check out these pliers. How is this even functional really? The side ones would be so awkward to use.

Happy Friday Eve Gang. I'm posting super early because I know the auditors are going to be at the plant for 7am again. Boy did it get warm yesterday and today we are supposed to hit our first 90 degree day here in CT. We had to put the AC on at work and when I got home Irvin had the central air on and the haze from the Canadian wildfires is affecting the air quality so that isn't helping much. I did more gardening and decided to name the resident garden snake Loki. Not sure if it is a female or male, but as long as it keeps the pests away I don't care. Like I've said before I'm afraid of snakes, but I know they are beneficial to the environment.

I had to order pizza for lunch today and we have an ice cream truck coming for the guys also. Hopefully tomorrow the auditors are only here for a half a day and then things can get back to normal.

QOTD: Do you like sitting in on meetings/conferences? Me not really. I get bored and tired unless I'm presenting something which doesn't happen often. To sit and listen to someone talk really isn't my cup of tea.

B: coffee and egg/cheese wrap

L: pizza

D: grilled chicken (since I didn't make it last night)

Off to get on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!!!!
