Happy Hump Day Menuer's. Well, the furnace isn't fixed yet, but we have other ways to stay warm. Hopefully within the next couple of days we have a new one. One another note when I came in yesterday, I noticed a car parked off the access road down in a sandpit area. It was still there this morning, so I called the State Police. When I went back down to take pictures, I noticed it had driver side damage. Not sure if it is stolen and someone dumped it or if there is a body in it. I didn't get close enough to look just in case it is a crime scene. Plus, the windows are all frosted over so you can't see in them anyways.
Disappointing news on the mayoral race results in Putnam. They voted the same mayor back in and all he does is spend money, raise taxes, and do things without the approval of the board of selectmen. I'm not saying Republicans are any better, but after 8 years of this guy spending tax dollars on unnecessary things a change would have been nice. Maybe I should get into politics and run as an independent.
QOTD: For those of you who had mayoral or other state races did they turn out the way you hoped? As you know mine town races did not go well. Now we have to deal with another 2 years of this guy spending money left and right. I hope everyone else's went well.
B: coffee and protein shake
L: chili and cornbread
D: beef stew
Hitting the Y and I think I'll grind up my garlic and put it in the dehydrator.
Have a great day everyone.
Here's the car. You can see the damage to the driver's side.
We've got mail in ballots here too, I miss the days of going to the polling place to vote in person. Anymore the only taxes I vote for are the fire departments and the police. With a son-in-law as a fireman I have to, they need all the support and life saving equipment they can get.

You have a great talent for getting good photos of your babies. They are so beautiful. Glad you are getting x-rays done and hoping that your upcoming appointment will finally get your doctor moving in the right direction to help you.

It's awesome you 'know a guy' to get a new furnace so promptly. The rabbits sound snug as a bug.
QOTD: We bought this house because it came with natural gas furnace and water heater and have just replaced the units as they aged out and we got more energy-efficient units. Later we added a/c since we already have the ducts and lastly put in a gas fireplace. I tried and tried but could not get hubby to agree to a log burner for the basement so we could have free conductive heat.
Babysitting the grands tonight so I only have enough time for one project and it has to be re-canning plum juice for Hubby. Hoping that if I do two cases today it will last him till the end of December. This has saved us so much money over buying the little shelf stable packs of orange juice for when his sugars are low. And surprisingly even though I add sugar to the concentrate it doesn't just spike his readings either. He gets a nice steady rise and then it holds for an hour or so. Plenty of time for me to goad him to eat a real meal.
Have my outfit ready for tonight: a sleeveless shell topped with a sweater topped with a denim shirt and wool socks. I need to figure out how to sew a little nose sweater, since the surgery it is always cold. DD's house is normally cold but now it feels like a refrigerator to me, haha.

I havent been offered any lease yet ... but supposedly its a done deal.
Youll never believe the huge sunny rooms ... a gym! a landscaped wified roof deck 4 co-working ... Im thrilled 2 b part of this community / building .
b- a little tiny bit sipping chicken soup. Im actually getting scared ... I eat so little .
Taxes are going up like crazy everywhere it seems. Irvin and I are going to vote when I get home.
Kitty in a box, or mostly. I can't leave empty boxes around anymore since my little girl thinks that any box is a litter box and she will pee in it.
QOTD- Gas furnace with separate A/C unit, I also had to have ducts put in for the upstairs. It had ceiling heat.
Definitely Fall here, so many leaves...
My roommate says he will be out in the next 3 months, not sure I believe him. But It will be nice to have my house back. Then I can decide what I want to do. I see a single level home in my future. I just have to figure out how to pay for it and how to sell this house. Then maybe I can retire...
Mail in ballots, it is long gone in the mail. The only thing on my ballot was 2 money measures. I love libraries but I can't afford to pay more property taxes, the other one was for public safety. Sorry but I didn't vote to raise my taxes.
Have a great day everyone!

Good mornin y'all.
Not sure what's up today. I feel icky. Every time I tried to sleep my hands fell hard asleep and ached so bad. I've tried braces and gloves. So annoyed.
We're going down to Lubbock Thursday as they need an X-ray before my appointment Monday. i can't wait to get this done. My blood sugars are out of whack. I sent a note yesterday so hopefully he'll listen to me on this issue.
QOTD: we have three gas heaters. This house used to have a boiler system but it quit working 30 years ago. It gets cold in here but we can't afford to put one in for the whole house. There is no duct work. No central air either.
B: egg pita, coffee
L: ???
D: also ???
Good Tuesday Morning Gang. Apparently, our furnace decided after 20 years to crap out. Not a big deal since my step-son is a boiler guy and is coming out today to install a new one. The dog kept us warm last night. LOL
It is windy this morning and is supposed to get to 40mph winds by the afternoon. I've got the rabbits covered up pretty good so the wind doesn't get to them. I don't think there is much going on at work today.
QOTD: How do you heat your house? We originally had electric and a pellet stove 21 years ago when we moved in, but after a year of dealing with high electric bills and the pellet stove Irvin's oldest son put a gas-powered furnace in along with central air. Definitely a game changer for us.
B: coffee and protein shake
L: chili burrito
D: chicken salad over toss salad
Going to vote for local offices tonight and hitting the Y.
Have a great day everyone!!!
