- Years ago there was a cult who had a place in West Virginia they called the Palace of Gold. They only ate vegetables but kept a cow for milk and butter. The cow was always decorated with flowers. It was their sacred cow and very pampered. They also had an elephant and people took rides on it.
I can't remember if there was a camel. If you joined you had to give them all your assets and they shared everything. They collected money by asking for donations at airports. They served food there but my husband was afraid to try it. It seemed like a peaceful quiet life but there was corrupt people running it and it all fell apart after a few years. I thought the pet cow was cute.

Good Friday Morning gang. Another week in the books. I have a few things to do to get ready for our Clean Sweep day on Tuesday and then the BAU follow-up on Wednesday and Thursday.
Not sure what the weekend holds as the weather is going to be hit or miss. I have to give a guy in Woodstock a call about some hay so we may be getting a few round bales if the weather holds off. I found the cutest Billy Goat on craigslist. Even though we believe both of our girls are bred we've talked about getting a Billy Goat for future breeding.
QOTD: What kind of animal would you own if you had unlimited funds and space? I've always wanted a camel. I think they are so cool looking and besides the fact they spit at you if you make them mad you can ride them and they are as fast if not faster than a horse.

My sixties was when I felt my youngest and most carefree. I retired and when out with friends every day and most nights. We did lots of dancing and took lots of trips. I remember saying 61 felt like 16. I feel my age more now at 77 but as long as I eat well and get rest and exercise I enjoy my time and find lots to keep me busy. Our pool is open and heated so hopefully I can get enough hot wether next week to get some pool time in.

Good Morning Jennifer and Menuers,
Yes, I been out of the loop and I have not even stopped by to see what everyone is up to. Life has been a box of crazy, and I am just trying to manage to get through the days without too much anxiety. My trip was very nice, but it is hard to relax when so much is going on with work, mom, Ron back here. Just so hard to block it out. Looks like tomorrow we will be opening the pool, and I have a surprise party Saturday evening, and a 1st holy communion on Sunday. I do have gym scheduled Saturday and it's been 3 weeks since I been on the bike and really worked out. Hope I do not hurt too much after.

We it's Friday Eve. Got woken up by a crazy thunder storm this morning. We were all laying in bed when a loud thunder boom and flash of lighting lit up the sky. Meisha jumped up and started barking at the windows as if to say hey we're sleeping in here so shut up. We're lucky she's not scared of thunder and lighting like some dogs are. She even loves watching fireworks. Took one of bags of recyclable bottles to Stop & Shop to cash them in and got $21.10. Between what I collect from work and what we pickup when we go for a walk down our street we usually end up with an extra $100 a month.
QOTD: Do you feel older or younger than you're actual age? Some days after doing a lot of work I feel like I'm 100 years old, but for most of the time I feel younger than 50, maybe not 20ish, but definitely younger.
