I can get the stimulator out but not the leads in my spine and they are what prevent MRIs. Technically you can but it's very risky. Unless something warrants it they are in there for life most likely.
I never thought I'd say that I prefer the golightly stuff. The miralax has just never agreed with me. Plus I hate Gatorade and most sports drinks.
Glad to see you back Mel. Well that's a good thing your colonoscopy came back good. Yea they are a pain, but sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry.
You can't get the stimulator taken out? That really sucks it never really worked for you and I know all the hoops you had to go through to get it.

Good mornin y'all.
sorry to be MIA most of the week. Lots going on.
had my colonoscopy and EGD yesterday. It's been a miserable experience. I hate miralax to begin with as it always makes me feel ill. Taking the equivalent of 3 small bottles made me feel almost as miserable as my last back surgery. Of course since I had no other symptoms other than low iron there was nothing wrong. Not a single polyp or issue whatsoever. I didn't think there would be a problem. At least it's over. My blood sugars have been going nuts. Had a high of 274 and two lows as well. My ekg wasn't completely normal that I had Monday so that'll be addressed by my pcp.
Wednesday I saw the orthopedic surgeon. He is ordering a CE CT scan. Since I can't have MRI's(shakes fist at the spinal cord stimulator) this is the only test I can do to see if the rotator cuff is torn as he believes it is. It's at least badly wrinkled. So we'll see about that.
Today we're going to the thrift store and grocery shopping. We had bad storms to the near east of us last night with tornadoes and grapefruit sized hail. We have a chance today to get hit again in my area. Spring has arrived if the residents here haven't noticed.
QOTD: we have a sectional with a chaise lounge and recliner on either side. I HATE IT SO MUCH! Our dogs have torn it up. It really is their couch. There is not point to getting a new couch, this one is over 10 years old. When we come home Mona is on the back of the couch and going nuts. They also seem to think it tastes great even though we get onto them for it.
food is back to normal today!
B: egg, cheese, zero carb tortilla and coffee & tea
L: probably some chicken and a packaged salad from the grocery store
D: I really need to eat some red meat so I'll see what I can find at the store,
Ms.Tange and a meme.
Well we all did it again made it through another week of either calmness or chaos.
The physicals went very well yesterday and I am back again at 4:45 for the second round. I have to make sure all employees have their proper paperwork, respirators, hearing protection, etc. plus meet with the medical team that comes to the plant that is why I have to be in so early, but it is only two days a year and I get overtime pay for it.
Tomorrow is going to be a washout, but Sunday looks to be halfway decent a bit cooler, but at least sunny. I should be able to get some more stuff done outside. My little blueberry plants I planted last year are starting to get some little leaves on them. I think I might pick up a few more bushes of them. I got my little greenhouse all set up outside to start transferring the seedling/plants so they can get accustomed to the weather before I plant them in the garden.
QOTD: Does your couch have recliners or is it just a plain couch? Since we moved to Putnam in 2004 we have always had a sectional with recliners on each end. In 2020 we had to replace it due to one of the recliners kind of crapping out breaking. So after looking around at all sorts of furniture places we found a floor model on clearance at this huge family run furniture place in Worcester, MA. It has three recliners and cup holders. The material is like a faux leather and is super comfy to sit or sleep on. Only issue is the dog hair seems to stick to it. I've told Meisha several times I am going to shave her. She gave me the stink eye.
B: coffee and breakfast wrap
L: 2 slices of pizza
D: baked stuffed sole and asparagus
No exercise today
Have a great Friday everyone and a wonderful weekend.
I had a hard time getting on here today. The site kept going out. 4:45 is really a dedicated employee. I used to start early but worked from home when it was that early so just went from bed to the computer.
I have never done anything extreme although I did think about white water rafting but never ended up going. I wanted to bungee jump off a bridge in West Virginia one time that was really high but when I got there I chickened out.
I did some parachute jumps but tandem and ended up messing up my back with a bad landing. My days of anthing extrem are over. I admire anyone who does. The four hour ride sounds great.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
It's messy, but fun and refreshing on a hot day.

I used to want to do whitewater rafting but now i don't think I'd like to get wet and have to sit in it like that. Age I guess has done that to me lol.
Good Morning, Friday-eve here we are! We are getting a little bit cooler temps which is nice as I am not ready for the heat yet! I plan to try and spend a little time outside this weekend but haven't decided on what to do yet. Training my new hire seems to be going well, keeping me busy that's for sure.
QOTD: No extreme sports for me, the most extreme would be the 1/2 marathons I did.
TSS: 10 years 8 months

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, oikos yogurt and some fruit
S: A piece of fruit and yogurt

Have a great day!
Good morning, everybody!
4:45 is crazy early. Yikes! I'm in the office today, but tomorrow I have a breakfast meeting in the suburbs, so I don't have to go into the city. It's great because it still counts as an in-office day since it's a work function.
As expected, this has been a pretty easy week so far. I have a couple of calls and things to do and then I will watch at least part of the NFL draft tonight.
Marilyn went through her quarters the other day. She is collecting the woman's quarter series. You can tell those easily because George Washington's head is larger than on traditional quarters. So far she has them all through 2023 but only has one 2024 and no 2025. It takes awhile for them to move around in circulation .
QOTD: I have been whitewater rafting up in Maine. It was fun but a little scary. This is timely though, just Tuesday I was looking at a ride in fly fishing trip in Idaho. It looks awesome but I have not rode since I was in High School, so I would need some practice before I just hopped on.
Breakfast: Protein Bar
Lunch: sandwich
Dinner: meatballs
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning peeps. I've been here at work since 4:45 for the annual physicals for the employees. So far everyone who has been scheduled to come in has which is a good thing. We have a couple of more days of nice weather until Saturday when we are supposed to get rain. Other than that not much going on.
QOTD: Have you ever done an extreme sport? The most extreme sport if you can call it that would a Hunter Pace on my old gelding years ago. It was a 4-hour ride walk, trot, canter and going over different obstacles along with through a small river. It was timed so you had to complete the ride in at least 4 hours or less.
B: coffee and 2 eggs with cheese/ham
L: chicken burger with salad
D: grilled pork chops
Hoping to get the treadmill or at least a walk in later today.
Have a great day everyone!!!
