Good mornin y'all.

not just a whole lot happening today. We are going to go buy a portable a/c for next year. Also I need to pick up prescriptions. We may go to the thrift store.

I am feeling rough. The heat is just a pain in the arse. 103° is supposed to be our high today, yuck! Waiting to hear what the pain clinic docs think of the myelogram results. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate waiting? lol

i have decided to try wire wrapping again. Ha...we'll see. I had someone suggest and I found some well priced wire so it will be interesting.

QOTD: according to the work it'd be basketball due to my height. It's my most asked thing. If I were to pick it'd be basketball. I used to be good at it.

B: protein bar and coffee

L: burrito

D: ??????

a meme (which might send me to hell) at the bottom and some old pieces of a design of mine and an older one of opal!

Happy Friday Gang and this picture while I know I've posted it before is 100% going to be me at 3:30 today. This is what I find when I'm driving up the access road to the plant this morning. I swear I can't make this crap up.

Some nitwit must have been partying at the turn around on the access road and decided to park their car under one of the ash trailers. What's the first thing I get to do when I get in call the State Police. If they can't or won't get it towed, we are going to bring the loader down and pull the darn thing out. People around here just blow my mind sometimes. I know there is a lot of drug use in the area and since the access road is over a mile long and technically a private road so not patrolled by the cops people do whatever they want. At least I'm back in the office.

Come hell or highwater I'm going blueberry picking tomorrow morning and then we are going to go look at a Chevy S-10 I saw on my way home last night from work. I called the guy and it is a 2000 with only 108K miles on it. He's the second owner and is asking $3000 or best offer. It's also a 5 speed which Irvin likes. He needs a small run around vehicle instead of all the big trucks that suck up fuel.

QOTD: One last sports one. Would you rather play Basketball or Baseball? I was never really good at either of them in gym class, but I would choose Baseball because there were times that I did have fun playing it with family and friends.

B: Tall cold glass of milk I just wasn't feeling coffee or tea this morning. 2 egg bites

L: Bye Felica sandwich its a roasted chicken with avocado, red onions and a spicy sauce

D: Not 100% sure but probably some sort of seafood

Irvin has racing tonight with the grandkids so we will skip the Y.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!!

Thank you, that's good to know. I'll get some Isopure when I force myself to get through this pea stuff.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I've been taking my prescription iron supplement for around 4 months now. The only thing it seems to do is upset my pouch.

Isopure has an unflavored protein powder I still use to add to food when I need it. It's a little pricey but worth it to me. Sometimes I add it to coffee, soup...all sorts of things.

as for pea protein powder...I hated it. I found it didn't mix well and just had an awful texture.

Topic: Pea Protein Powder

Many of us are well into our postoperative period and using ready shakes like Premiere Protein instead of powders. Since I've got so much regain to lose I'm trying to eat like a5 or 6 month newbie and protein powder works well now.

Somewhere on the internet people were saying how useful unflavored pea powder is in recipes. Did I save that info? No I didn't.

Tried it for the first time today in my cottage cheese. It was a sad experience but with lots of hot sauce I nearly finished the meal.

Have any of you used it before? It tastes a bit like powdered soy so it may need something strong to conceal it. It really thickened that cottage cheese too. That property might make it useful in something like a squash bake or a 'cream' soup. Maybe I should chuck it in the deep freeze and try it again when the weather turns cold. Pumpkin protein custard?

When you were a new postop did you use powdered proteins and if so, what kind?

Thank you, my sister said to do the same thing. It is better tonight 100/52. So sorry to hear about you fall, painful and expensive too. Hope you don't have low BP very often now.

Hanging my head in shame because I don't know my number. I was low on iron for years and even had a radio wave ablation in hopes it would lighten my periods. Only helped a little. Full hysterectomy brought the iron levels up some but my Dr's have all said to take otc iron for life, so it can't be much. I'd for sure ask your doctor to consider other possible causes making your iron low.

My last labs my ferritin was at a 9, which combined with my other lab numbers didn't necessitate an infusion yet. I think my lowest was maybe a 5 or 6. I seem to be doing okay with an infusion every 12-15 months right now. My hematologist has me go every 6 months for labs.

When I get low blood pressure they tell me to use more salt. Potato chips are good to do that but just keeping salt shaker close to my plate reminds me to use it. There are times I should have called an ambulence and avoided falling but I did not and broke bones and lost a tooth one morning.,
