Good Morning Jennifer and Menuer's
Hope your recert goes as quick and easy as you're expecting. I did get a window washed yesterday but no elliptical. It's a time management thing and I really want clean windows. Lately I have been getting heartburn. It is only after taking my vitamins and not eating anything for a few hours after. I have not changed that routine, so I am not sure why it is happening. I guess I should do a protein shake after. If it continues to flair up that is what I will try.
Accountability: I thought I did good, but the scale says different. Must have been too many peanuts.

Good morning, everybody!
I was on a work call with Asia until after 1:00 AM last night, so I'm really dragging today. I switched my schedule around a bit so that I can work from home today.
My first outdoor swimming for the year was last night. Once I get in the pool, it's fun but the process of getting from the city hone to put on my wetsuit and then to swimming is tough. It's only 9 weeks though. I am tempted to get a wetsuit that is easier to get into, but they are kind of expensive. And it will be warmer come July.
Breakfast: egg taco
Lunch: Roast beef
Dinner: Steak
Have a great day, all!

Good mornin y'all!
Today is PT and then who knows what. I'm feeling very very sore with my shoulder and my back is spicy. We have a front moving through so I'm guessing that's part of it. It is what it is.
I've had the munchies the past few days and it seems to be better today. It could be a certain time of the month thing.
B: egg wrap and coffee + a rice cake
L: not sure 100%. Chicken and something else.
D: probably a chicken sandwich with keto bread. All the fixings.
Here is Percy who will not stop attacking Tange.
have a great day y'all!
Good Morning All. Today is day 1 of our recertification for OSHA VPP. There are not many companies across the US that meet the standards and Wheelabrator/Win Waste Innovations work very hard to make sure everyone works safely and gets to go home each and every day.
The auditors will be here at 9:30 so this is going to be quick and if anyone wants to do a QOTD please feel free to add one. I'll jump back on later to answer it.
B: Just coffee not feeling like eating this morning
L: what ever is decided since we have to supply meals each day
D: ribs on the grill
I did get 30 minutes on the treadmill done, but not the vibrating platform
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Wendy, zero judgment from me! If your doctor thinks this is appropriate for you and if your insurance will pay then why not try? When I talked to my PCM in May she wouldn't suggest any knee treatment other than PT and really stressed I get weight off so we discussed a bunch of options (including GLP-1s) and it came down to Contrave was the only drug suitable for my health history. It doesn't stop genuine hunger but it stops food cravings and the food noise in the brain that makes it so easy to overeat. It has unpleasant side effects during the adjustment period and like anything else, if you don't change your eating habits you can out-eat it too. I'm enjoying the bliss of having a probably normal relationship with food right now. It's amazing to think that it's normal for most people to not obsess with food all day long and even in dreams.
To me any pharmaceutical help with weight loss is useful if it can help get us back on track. At WLS support group 18 years ago that they stressed the '18-month window' to get it right after our RNY's. So with Contrave, I'm taking that same theory to heart. Just crossing fingers that it continues to work, it seems people can have very differing experiences with it.
Wishing you the very best success whether you try the Zepbound or not.

That seems really high to me for cleaning but then again, I haven't had anything done indoors since a tricky appliance installation last year so current prices are eye-opening. When my shoulders went bad I purchased a microfiber mop for cleaning walls, made it so much easier. Taking it one room at a time sounds doable.
Thanks for listing that coffee creamer...I've never heard of it before but will definitely go looking for it now.

Congratulations on getting your A1C down, great work!!! So sorry that yard work hurt your shoulder, that is certainly annoying pain. You did great at Wendy's too. It's been so many years since paying attention to my diet that the prospect of going out for a birthday lunch w/friends has me worried what in the world to eat. I remember those early postop months when it seemed there wasn't anything that was within plan. And my feet hurt just thinking of you dropping a whole brisket on your foot. I'm a klutz and broke bones in my feet at work. I'm sorry you have a weather forecaster now.
Your furbaby is a doll!

Good morning everybody, hope you are having a nice day. I have a hard enough time trying to clip my cat's nails and her squirming and wanting to bite...I can't even imagine the strength it would take to shear sheep! I'm seriously impressed.
QOTD: Instead of using the ladder on my step-cart in the warehouse to retrieve a Craftsman heavy-duty circular saw I just reached up for it (over my head by around 2') and my hands were dusty. Couldn't grip it and it fell and popped me right in the nose. I was embarrassed and didn't go get checked out but it turns out it broke the bone about 3/4" down from my tear duct and ever since I've had trouble breathing on that side. Trying my best to get my ENT to operate on it but he says it would cause me more problems to fix it than to leave it alone. It's a real fear to end up in a nursing home unable to communicate and dying of suffocation (other sinus problems too). From that day forward, I wore grippy gloves at work!
Today needs to be leftovers day but I've already messed up breakfast, sigh.
B: SF Almond milk collagen latte
L: Some leftover Egg Beaters and zucchini
D: The other half of an Amylu chicken patty and 1/2 cup carrots.
LS: probably a Fairlife chocolate protein shake to get my protein up.
Saturday I stepped up to the full dose of Contrave and wowie, did I become the living dead! It made me stumbly and fuzzy headed. Drunk without the fun. The brain fog eased off late in the day. Each day it seems the drunk phase is shorter but I am still weak and stumbly. Being patient here, it is going to pass in a few weeks and if having the food noise shut off helps me to lose weight and ease knee pain then it's worth it.

I pay $15 an hour for cleaning lady. She is on her own and does a great job. When you call in a company they do seem to charge a lot. I believe Molly Maids here is over $100 an hour now. Ask around and see if someone knows a good cleaning person. I have a window guy who does the glass, screen, and window frame for $20 a window and they look great when he is done.
