Happy Friday Friday Friday.
It's a beautiful day to be alive. Tough week. From what seemed like 9 days, I'm Ready for the weekend. It's my sister's 40th today and we went to dinner last night. She had a massive cut of prime rib and I had shrimp dejonghe. For a present, I gave her money for the next cruise she takes. I hate giving cash as a present. It's always seemed like a cop out.
Weekend was great. I lived my best life.
QOTD- I live in a section of Chicago that is extremely popular with filming. Between Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Chicago Hope, Chicago named shows, other series, movies and superhero bat movies, the city issues filming permits almost everyday every year. My favorite movie with Chicago in the background is The Color of Money. The city is portrayed very accurately, if you ask me.
Chicago is the Key West of Toronto.

Hi, happy Weekend Eve! We are having some perfect weather today...high of 79! I have to drive out to the military base one more time for the med that they didn't have in stock earlier this week. Boy am I glad I don't work out there anymore, I don't miss that commute. We're a podunky little city but drivers aren't the best here, lol.
QOTD: I had to Google this because I only know of two (Bennie and Joon, Vision Quest) and one tv show (Z Nation). Apparently there were several others but I'm not a current cinema buff so I have no idea if they were popular or not. We get mail from the Screen Actor's Guild every year which I presume is a royalty check from a previous occupant who must have worked on one of those two films. We just mark it 'not at this address' and send it back.
Have a great weekend everybody! Crossing fingers the Saturday weigh-in will be a good one, I've been sneak peeking and it just might be.

Kindergarten Cop is one of those movies I can watch whenever it is on. I love the scenary.
QOTD- The Goonies was filmed in Astoria, as was Kindergarten Cop, Grimm was filmed all over the metro area, as was Leverage those are the only ones I can currently think of. I just re-watched Grimm and it was such a treat to see Portland on film. Unfortunately some of the businesses don't exist any more, but it is still fun.
Still trying to get all my accesses for work, so far there is at least one that I need that I can't get into.
I found out from PT that I need to lower my desk. It shouldn't be too bad, it's IKEA with legs that raise and lower but it won't be very easy. But if it keeps my arm from aching it will be worth it.
I didn't get many hours the last 2 weeks but I should have some.
Cloudy and overcast with a high of 72, and low of 53 so not bad weather.
Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning! It is FRI-YAY indeed and I am going to try and take 1/2 the day off so it should be a fast one. I hope you enjoy your vacation to the fullest.
QOTD: The Great Outdoors was filmed at Bass Lake which is about an hour away and where we camped at all the time when I was growing up.
I am having my usual breakfast but the rest of the day is up in the air since I don't know if I'll be still in the office. Exercise done and water and vits on track.
I hope each of you have a nice weekend.
I just looked up Silent Hill. It's based on Centralia Pennsylvania, but actually filmed in Toronto.

Good morning, everyone!
I didn't get to post yesterday because I had a dentist appointment in the morning and then had to scurry to CrossFit and then into the office.
But I made it to Friday and my vacation the next two weeks. Unfortunately, I may start my vacation by working on Sunday before we head to the airport. No problem though.
The last time that I was out of the country, I was able to post on OH, but the few times before that I wasn't. So, I'm not sure if I will be able to post for the next few days. If I can't, I wish everyone a great holiday and summer! I am sure that I will be reading even if not posting.
QOTD: I don't know of any movies, but Stella and Severide's honeymoon cabin from Chicago Fire was filmed right down the street. I posted a picture for Mike Duffman because he and his wife watch.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: chicken sandwich
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning Jennifer and Menuers,
Well, I made it. It was a nice quit week I wish they were all like this. My boss is back from vacation on Monday, and my anxiety is already revving up. I have a feeling the dreaded meeting is coming soon. I am just going to lay low and see how long it takes for him to catch up to me. Weekend looks kinda of normal. Gym both days and Mom duty. Weather has been either very hot or very rainy. If it is raining, I will do some more doors and windows and start baking cookies and freezing them for our trip. If it is hot and sunny I will use the pool.
QOTD: Tons of movies are filmed in Pittsburgh. The one that was actually filmed in my town was Silence of the Lambs. The catacombs were in a building that is about a mile from my home. When my dad was growing up that building was call Morganza and it was a detention center for boys. I guess if you were really bad you got locked in those chambers. It fully functioned from that land. They had farms that had animals and gardens the kids would maintain. Some would sneak out and my dad and brothers would trade cigarettes for fresh hams and food that they would steal. We were always threated as children if we were bad, we would go to Morganza. Eventually it closed and became a State-run Psychiatric center. And of course that is closed now as well.
