Topic: RE: What's on your Friday menu?

Good Morning Jennifer and Menuers,

Well, I made it. It was a nice quit week I wish they were all like this. My boss is back from vacation on Monday, and my anxiety is already revving up. I have a feeling the dreaded meeting is coming soon. I am just going to lay low and see how long it takes for him to catch up to me. Weekend looks kinda of normal. Gym both days and Mom duty. Weather has been either very hot or very rainy. If it is raining, I will do some more doors and windows and start baking cookies and freezing them for our trip. If it is hot and sunny I will use the pool.

QOTD: Tons of movies are filmed in Pittsburgh. The one that was actually filmed in my town was Silence of the Lambs. The catacombs were in a building that is about a mile from my home. When my dad was growing up that building was call Morganza and it was a detention center for boys. I guess if you were really bad you got locked in those chambers. It fully functioned from that land. They had farms that had animals and gardens the kids would maintain. Some would sneak out and my dad and brothers would trade cigarettes for fresh hams and food that they would steal. We were always threated as children if we were bad, we would go to Morganza. Eventually it closed and became a State-run Psychiatric center. And of course that is closed now as well.

Good morning everyone!

we got a lot of rain last night! I mean well over 2 inches. There was some flooding around town including down the street from us. Supposed to get more rain today. I might form gills. Ala waterworld. Ha!

My appointment went ok yesterday. Their scale is way off and showed a full 10 pounds heavier than my scale showed. A brief moment of panic. He upped the mounjaro to 10. Took me off of the long acting insulin! My A1c of 5.9 is really helping. My last PT is today. I am hurting so so very much. I can't put it into words. I hope today is a light pt day. My mom wants to go to tthe thrift store and we need to run to the grocery store. So, long day. I need to wash clothes too.

QOTD: parts of an Indian jones movie was filmed near here. Lots of scenes in Yellowstone and one of the the prequels was close to here and here. Palo Duro canyon is a popular spot.

We had Thai and it made me sick today. Too many veggies and it was rather salty. I tried some pad Thai. 3 fork fulls made me throw up a wee bit. So rice and rice noodles are a huge no still.

B: egg sandwich with cauliflower bread. Coffee

L: I am thinking something light...maybe a chicken burger patty with a keto bagel thin.

D: total unknown. Depends on what we find at the grocery store.

this could not be any more true about my wee brain.

Happy Friday Gang!!! What a nice comfortable morning it is. I have a list of yard work I want to get done today and hopefully swing by my SIL's to drop off some chicks I hatched for her and get some cages. Other than that nothing much for day one of vacation.

QOTD: Has a movie ever been filmed in your town? I just found out that the new M. Night Shyalaman movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal is being filmed in RI and in the small town I grew up in Chepachet which is less than 10 minutes from where I live now. They are filming in the Old Stagecoach Tavern now called Tavern on the Main. It is known to be haunted. So cool.

B: coffee and glass of homemade beet juice

L: Salad with chicken salad

D: grilled cod and summer squash

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!!

It sounds crazy to me too but I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Good Morning, let's get this Friday-Eve going. I hope you enjoy your time off! I am out early today for a dr appt and then I might ask for 1/2 day off tomorrow. It would be nice to get a few things done that I would normally get done over the weekend but I want to keep my schedule mostly clear so I can help Em with whatever she might need for her move.

QOTD: I like a good omelet at a diner but I also like boiled and scrambled as well.

I haven't decided on dinner yet but the rest of my menu is the same as usual for during the week. Exercise done (1/2 hour elliptical and just over two miles ran on the treadmill is my current routine most days). Water and vits on track so far.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning, Jennifer and Menuers,

Enjoy the vacation, Jennifer. I just booked a place in Ocean City Maryland for the end of August. I'll be looking forward to being at the beach. Also, when I am there, I run the boardwalk every morning. It is a flat 4-mile run. I am always amazed how fast my time drops in just one week of running.

QOTD: I could not do scrambled eggs the first 2 years out of surgery, I always had over easy and put cheese and ham on top. Now, I can eat them anyway. My favorite way is deviled.

Mel I've been thinking about the carnivore diet with maybe a jumpstart with the egg diet since I have so many fresh eggs. Take a look at this You Tube video. These doctors get really in-depth about the carnivore diet in a positive way.
