Chrissy, Shelly was active on the RNY forum when I was in '06, her surgery was 6 months before mine. When you got a reply from her it felt like getting to talk to a celebrity. But I mostly hung out with my surgery month group and also the Washington state group so I didn't get to know her very well. Sadly, OH dumped all those old boards years ago. I remember her getting very fired up over the Obesity Action Coalition, taking part in their conventions and even going before Congress to gather support for changing the insurance laws to allow more people access to bariatric surgery. She is currently listed on the Governance and Financials staff on the OAC web page as Senior Program Manager.

It was always fun reading her blog, she'd get on a kick of making a bunch of different versions of one thing in a row. I'm glad she left it up to share with others.

Thank you for the link to the Zucchini Spaghetti...I'm going to zip over to have a look.

Water, of course...duh! lol I have to remember that especially because of being on the Wellbutrin/Naltrexone combo. The one side effect that isn't going away is dry mouth and that extends to dry eyes as well. I'll make myself some notes to drink more. And I'll get a batch of egg bites made today too, thank you for the good reminders!

I loved Shelly's blog in my newbie days, she'd just had her surgery a few years before me. Thank you for the reminder! I'll head back over and see what she had to say about plateaus.

Eggs are only my friends hard boiled or scrambled, if I try to eat a poached or over-easy egg (my favorite!) I dump like a truck. It isn't so bad if I remove the yolk but it makes no sense right? I always keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge so I can make Hubby an egg salad sandwich but need to remember to grab them for myself too.

Thank you!

I didn't personally know her, but she would post for newbies to help them out when they were struggling with what to eat. I think she is on FB now but left her blog up since it has so much information.

Exercise also keeps you out of the kitchen. You really cannot eat while you exercise so it is a great way to stay away from snacking.

Good Morning Jennifer and Menuers,

Wednesday is my favorite day of the week. I got to take mom to cards, and I am taking care of the neighbor's garden and picking up the mail while they are away. When I get home, I am making and awesome zucchini shrimp recipe and then I will watch Big Brother. I don't know why I have always been a fan. I guess it is like a trainwreck to me.

Jen did you know egg face when she was here? She was gone before my surgery, and she posted some health issues on her blog then Poof she has not even updated her blog in years. I wonder if she is still alive. You are absolutely right she does offer some great suggestions for food choices. Glad her page is still up.

QOTD: I would have always kept clothes that were 2 sizes bigger as I was going down. You never know where you are going to land and once you get that little bounce back those tiny clothes are no longer making you feel good when you no longer fit in them. Rebuying sizes you tossed sucked. My lowest was size 4-6. That is a joke to me now.

Accountability: Butter biscuits I should have never bought from the Aldi.

TSS: 7 years 7-months 19-days 169.2 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF Coffee-Mate Chocolate Caramel creamer

MS: egg bites

CB: Coffee with SF Coffee-Mate Chocolate Caramel creamer

L: stuffed cabbage roll

D: Zucchini Spaghetti

Exercise: dog walking

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings

Chrissy

Good luck with the move. It's good that you are taking a moment to think about conflict resolution-as that will always come up it's good to know that you'll be able to communicate about it hoepfully.

Good Morning! Productive days are great aren't they? I have a few training meetings with my team members today and my lunch appointment so I am sure it'll fly by. My rower came yesterday and John put it together last night and I tested it for about 15 mins last night and did just under a 1/2 this morning and let me tell ya-my legs are feeling it. I need to watch some videos on form since I could feel some tightness in my wrist and a little in my lower back I want to make sure I am doing it right. I am hoping this new "toy" will put a spark back in my exercise routine.

QOTD: Slowing down mentally to recognize the "wins". I think I took many of the accomplishments for granted.

Menu today: Repeat from yesterday and exercise done, vits and water on track.

I hope everyone has a great day.

I just ate egg bites, and they are wonderful. When needing a plateau buster, I always push the water and make sure I drink my weight in water until I get over the hump.
