I learned the only way I can eat meat is with a lot of sauce. A1, Heinz, or something homemade. I make an orange chicken that is really good and I can eat a lot of that. Yesterday I made a beef burgundy with fresh pasta, but ate two bites and was too full to eat more. I can eat filet but only cook it to rare and slice very thin.

Julia, that milk sounds awful but might be good for a milkshake with lactose free ice cream. My sister has tons of cherry tomatoes and I have been eating them a lot. A few more weeks of good tomatoes and then that will be it until next August.

Wilco the farm coop here is having their case sale tomorrow. I intend to buy 50lbs of canning tomatoes, I'm debating on the 25lbs of pickling cukes. I'm going to get there when they open as they sell fast. My weekend is going to be canning tomatoes.

The rains are coming, or so the weather guessers say. Between Monday & Tuesday we are supposed to get almost an inch of rain. We definitely need it.

Football starts for real this weekend. Ducks on Saturday and Seahawks on Sunday, I can hardly wait.

I made the mistake of getting milk other than Fairlife and it was awful. Partly my fault for not reading well enough it was lactose free but vanilla flavored. I'll never make that mistake again.

Work was really good yesterday, I had help from one of the guys and I got the job done! Now I know what I'm doing and have learned much more about the program we are using. There is a lot you can do with it, but it's not very intuitive. There are a lot of tricks to it. I'm just happy to be learning it.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm going to do a short day in the office and then get home nice and early. Our ride to the airport arrives at about 7:30, so I should have plenty of time to make sure my packing was complete, etc. We get to Madrid at about 2:00 Friday afternoon.

Generally, I have not been able to post when I am out of the country, so I will be away for a bit. I'm sure that I will read even if I don't post.

QOTD: Lately I haven't been able to eat much of a hamburger unless it's a thin patty.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: catered

Dinner: probably something at the airport.

Have a great day, all!

Good mornin y'all.

It was a rough night of coughing and pain. Oh joy! LOL. I'm over the cough, for sure.

my doctor recommended surgery for the arthritis in my shoulder. He said PT would do nothing to help. The only thing is he is retiring on October 3rd. No other doctor here takes my insurance. Soooo I'll have to go to Lubbock most likely. There is a small chance I'll get into a doctor here...we'll see. I'm not happy about the Lubbock part but it is what it is. He went on about the cat scan results saying my arthritis wa advanced. Maybe I'm an overachiever ha!

not much happening today. I might clean the bathroom somewhat. Or vacuum. I am hoping to hear from my PCP about my blood sugar numbers. It's been really bad. I'm really frustrated.

QOT: it's mostly miss but salmon. I used to love it but now it makes me nauseated. It's a texture thing mostly. Just eww.

B: egg pita with cheese and of course coffee

L: haven't decided

D: carrots and maybe another chicken thigh.

this is the momma cat we're trying to find a home for.

Friday-Eve we meet again. Yesterday was a rather busy day at work. We got some new copiers delivered, but one of them is missing the finisher part so that will be here next week. Not the end of the world, but things have to be stapled by hand instead of by the copier. I'm working on getting a couple of caterers setup for the Employee Appreciation Days in October.

Not much going on today hopefully.

QOTD: What's a protein that since surgery i**** or miss when eating it? For me its steak, but it has to be either a filet or rib eye, and they have to be cooked medium/rare. If they are cooked too much, I can't even get one bite down. Beef also seems to fill me up the quickest of all proteins.

B: coffee and breakfast wrap with hash browns

L: buffalo tenders

D: hamburgers on the grill with steamed squash

Have a great day everyone!!

Thank you!

I don't officially sell a lot. Usually friends see something they like and ask me to make it for them! I can make just about anything you see me post if you ever see something you like! I have a FB page but I haven't updated it in a long time because family is on it that I haven't updated gone NC with. Makes me a little uneasy. I do help my "boss" with stock sometimes which is what those units were for(earrings).

lol at the cat-isms!

Sending you all kinds of good vibes and praying for your ortho appt to go well today! Love your pictures and the meme. Do you mostly sell locally or do you have a website for the chainmail?

Your mama cat sounds like a little love with a big purrsonality of sweetness. Sending some Power of The Paw your way to find her a good furrever home. How many more internet cat-isms can I work in for mew?

Your idea of rehoming the goats sounds logical considering you can't eradicate the bears where you live. Goats are so sweet and you probably love every single one; it would be awful to face a tragedy with them.

QOTD: After reading everybody's comments on this one it is a big toss-up. From my weight history, clearly I've never met a potato I didn't love. But I think freshly made, slightly lumpy, mashed is my favorite. Perfect comfort food except for the calories.

The roofers started almost an hour early today because of the heat and I think they are being let off early because of it. Hubs and I don't care that it takes longer, we don't want anyone having a heat stroke up there. 101 today.

Pre-op appt today! Going to ask if they can prescribe something very short term to calm me down before surgery. Never been this scared about a procedure. Getting stupid weepy and keep touching my nose to remember how it feels. But strangely not even concerned about my ear getting altered so long as I can still wear glasses. Just shows true vanity! Silly worries. The goal is to breathe normally again and Dr. Sand is one of the top nasal surgeons in our city. You'd think I was having brain surgery or something carrying on like this.

Taking the day off from canning for the appt. Yesterday's marathon of steam-juicing and canning yielded 15 quarts of concentrated, unsweetened plum juice plus 2 extra quarts in the fridge to add to the next work day's yield. The jars look like a row of amethysts, such beautiful color.

B: Protein/collagen shake.

L: Ice water

D: Korean cucumbers in German vinegar. Maybe a protein bar or rtu shake to boost the numbers. Too stressed for big food.

I hear you on the goats, that is why I got rid of my chickens. I couldn't protect them from the raccoons and had 2 of them beheaded. I love animals, I know that there are predators and prey but it is hard when you are trying to keep the prey animals alive. Here it is more likely to be a coyote, raccoon or possum rather than a bear, we are really in the city. When I had 5 acres the coyotes were so brave they wouldn't even run when I tried to chase them off. Two of them worked together one barked at my dog a yellow lab mix and then the 2nd one attacked from the rear. That was an expensive vet bill.

Still waiting for fall and cooler temps, the schools had to let out early or not have class this week because it's been so hot. Another 90+ degree day today.

QOTD- Pretty much any kind but no sour cream, butter only on a baked potato.

I need to get back to work.

Have a great day everyone!

What a lot of things going on. I have nephews that are four and six and their house is right at the edge of woods. The boys are not allowed outside alone because there are bears, coyotes.and other animals in the woods. They have hunting dogs outside that can not be trusted around their chickens.

My favorite is an oven baked potato with crispy skin and lots of sour cream and chives. I love all potatoes and sometimes pan fry with lots of onions or just make a pot of mashed potatoes with butter.
