Yikes, that does not sound like an appealing situation. Eek, whenever it happens I hope it goes well.

Congrats on the short week. I can't believe October is almost over already. This month has blitzed past. It is mostly sunny and beautiful (but cold!) here and fortunately the trees still have most of their colored leaves despite the rain storms we've had the last few days. I took some boneless, skinless Frankenbreasts out of the freezer and poached them. I don't know how people do it and make it come out juicy and tender. Mine are always dry and tough despite timing the cooking and the rest. Are they just bred to be tough along with absurdly large these days?

QOTD: I usually enter raffles when there are quilts. In all my years I've never won a single raffle but when you know it is for a good cause you do get that warm feeling of helping out a little.

B: fake coffee (Pero) w/ff half and half followed by a homemade Starbucks egg bite.

L: 3 oz chicken breast, 1 tsp Better-Than Bouillon. and one American cheese slice in a mug with boiling water. The stats are pretty good and the liquid helps get the chicken down the pouch. Learned the American cheese trick from Korean ramyun hacks online. It makes the soup look creamy and taste slightly richer without many calories.

Hubby got my laptop repaired last week but now I'm using a cooling fan under it and it is making me reach upwards to type, my neck muscles do not approve of this change. Working on sewing is a piece of cake compared to this.

Time to get an Elsa cape sewn for my youngest granddaughter for Christmas. There is about 1/3 yd each of the icy blue and pale lilac color satin that I've got to figure out how to use up. Too small for any kind of dress and too much for maybe a drawstring play purse. Got any brilliant suggestions?

Have a great, short, week!

Topic: RE: Sweet Saturday ! what R Ur Menus n Plans 4 d Weekend?

Such cute memes! I should have checked in here each day with you to keep accountable. My food went to hail this weekend. Too easy to eat very little during the day then try to pack in carbs when my ulcer flairs at night just as I'm supposed to be taking the nighttime meds.

Glad you are building up a database to make filling out your applications easier. What would we all do without our digital records these days?

Did some shopping this weekend to get some staples we'll probably need next month. My SS check did hit, thank goodness, but Hubs thinks his retirement probably won't come. So glad I bought the candy for Halloween weeks ago. I don't think they're going to sell as much this year, normally by now the stores are cleaned out of all except the most expensive stuff and there is loads and loads on the store shelves still. They've made it too crazy expensive. Hope we still get some trick or treaters this year, it is nice to get to see the littles all dressed up and excited for their loot.

Not going to mention the menu, it was not balanced at all. Carbs were blown out of the amt. dr. set, I never met my basic protein goals and yet each day I came in under 700 cals. I need to see a dietician.

Good mornin y'all.

Busy day for me. Appointment with my PCP. Going to ask for testing for RA and lupus. My grandma's nephrologist told her all her daughters and granddaughters should be tested since she had it. I'm having issues with my joints and kidneys. At least my numbers are a little odd. So we'll see. RA due to all my joints and bone spurs seemingly everywhere. If there is something up I want to treat it before it gets too far gone.

I am hoping to get other stuff done too. I need to figure Christmas stuff out. I'm giving money to everyone but my mom. Not a lot but it's the only thing they seem to want. I make things for em and no one uses it except for my niece who does d & d and I made her a dice bag. I might make something for my aunt.

QOTD: I have a few times but not much. I don't have a lot of chances to do so.

B: eggs, sausage and cheese....coffee

L: ???

D: fish and some onion rings.
