woot! woot!! CENTURY CLUB!!!!!
hi guys,
the badge is too big to fit in my sig, but i'm just here to say: i seem to have made the century club at last!!!!!!! i don't trust my scale, but i'm gonna go with it in this case!!!!! can't believe i did it!!!!!!!!!!!
believe me ladies and gentlemen: if i can do it, any of us can! i have been so not-perfect! but i have been careful, followed the calorie guide (1200 in this case) that the NUT gave me, and done my best, best, best to change the way i think and interact with food!!
i'm not going to get into eating pointers b/c i don't think i'm the best one to do so. i'm still working hard with my non-WLS NUT, who i've been seeing for years, about making really good nutrtious food choices. i've never been great at this and still struggle. i've got the cals conquered for the most part, but still have a hard time eating "good" foods. and i am still and emotional eater, so that's getting a work-out in therapy. in other words: the surgery does NOT fix your mind when it comes to eating and it can be a long road to that aspect of health. even if it's something as small as not drinking with and after meals before the surgery, start making changes beforehand. that's the time to start the thinking change.
physically i feel great! i can jump (don't know why i'd need to, but couldn't do it at all at 260 and now i can!) and can even dash across the street when the light is about to change. wow!! walking 1/2 hr a couple of times a week with friends from work -- most but not all weeks. not perfect. still would rather curl up on my couch. again, a mind game. working on it.
clothes: this part rocks!!!! i'm down to a size 12 petite (i'm 5'1") pant, down from a tight 24, and a size misses medium shirt, down from a 26-28. bra size down from 46DDD to 38D. i still weigh too much for my height and really want to get down to 130, but i think i'm at a typical woman's size now and that's amazing. i'm not the woman they're looking at at the movies and thinking -- well she's fat. and i fit in theater seats!!!!!!!! an inch or so on either side. and no seatbelt extenders!!!!!
we can all do this!!!!!! i am so proud of every one of us -- exploring surgery options, on our way to a surgery date, about to have surgery, just starting the recovery process, or somewhere along the weight loss road -- we're all brave and taking control!!!!
sending hugs to everyone. i really couldn't have done any of this without the support here!!!!

Congrats. I hit that 100 lb mark three days ago and know how magnificent it feels. I am looking forward to the next 10 lbs and being only overweight instead of obese!.
Way to rock that sleeve, and keep up the great work.
