I want to do an informal, highly unscientific  poll, with a few questions:

Q1:  Do You Keep your Weight Loss Surgery a Secret?
Q2:  Gender: M of F
Q3:  Age Range:  A: 18-29, B: 20-29, C: 30-39, D:40-49; E. 50-59, F: 60+

There have been many posters on here recently posting the "I don't want to tell anyone about my surgery, i'm a private person, i don't want to lie but I don't want to tell the truth" meme.  I'm curious if it seems to be mainly the ladies that see it this way or if its a mix.

Let me know what you think.  Heres my answers:

Q1:  No
Q2: M
Q3: D

Q1:  Do You Keep your Weight Loss Surgery a Secret?

I don't tell anyone, but I don't consider that keeping it a secret. If someone asked me, I wouldn't deny it.

Q2:  Gender: F

Q3:  Age Range:   D:40-49

Based on other post on this topic, I'd also like to add to my response (not directly to rhearob)  that if a person rather not share this information freely, that's their choice and their right. It doesn't mean they are ashamed, embarrassed, a liar or what have you. Different strokes for different folks.  It leaves a slightly bitter taste in my mouth when folks post/say, "Oh, I've been open and upfront with my WLS from the beginning. I'm not ashamed to admit I had it done."  Just because someone is not OPEN doesn't mean they are ashamed, or embarrassed.
