I don't fit in on WL message boards...
I feel you have to be perfect to post on the other boards.. It is like being in the closet because I do eat carbs. I love my protein drinks and it has got me a long way. I don't owe my success to one online store though. I would drink walmart protein if I had to and do some.
I feel to post here you have to justify and tell people it is ok to eat junk... Yes I screw up but on a daily bases I try to watch what I eat.
I am sort of stuck in the middle.
I do love reading here and reading there but don't hardly post because I am not perfect or one that will justify eating mac and cheese at 1 week postop.
Anyone else feel like this??

However, I think there is a *vast* difference between maintaining your weight (or hell, just being further out than 3 weeks) and eating carbs and even the occasional treat, and someone who is wanting justification to make a horroble food choice early out of surgery.
By admitting that you eat bad stuff, you remind people that you are a real person. It's not like you go and get doughnuts every day (right..?) and you have lost your weight.
If people don't like what you have to say, it's ok. It *is* the internet and we aren't all supposed to agree with everyone. I don't sugarcoat much at all, and I can tell you some people don't like it and turn me into a villain. Fine, so be it. I'm not going to change who *I* am to fit others' requirements of me.
So post. Let them flame away. I've got a an extra pair of fireproof big girl panties if you'd like them.
We're all at different stages of our surgery, and some people forget that. If I was still doing the low-cal thing, I'd probably end up in the hospital with a feeding tube in a few months. So you're not alone. Don't feel that you have to be perfect, and ignore the people who try to bring you down.

LIVE YOUR DREAMS
Please post whatever is on your mind. Don't let others intimidate you are make you feel that you can't post something. We all learn from each other. That's what a support board is all about.
Mmmmm...macaronie and cheese...one of my favorites. I do indulge occassionally, but just a little. It sits heavy in my pouch. I usually add some broccoli or peas. Yummy.

I would like to write this up before I forget it entirely! And thank you for reminding me.
When I was pre-op, I thought I will never ever even think of doing that (insert appropriate food thought) I was never, ever going to stray from the plan!
When I was newly post-op, I knew, I would never ever eat that or even push the envelope. I was never ever going to stray from the plan!
When I was 6 months out and losing nicely, I let myself have a teaspoon of my DH Hash browns when out to breakfast. Too much but satisfied the taste craving. I still have 1 teaspoon of his hash browns when we go out for breakfast. I will NOT allow my desire for something get to the point that I binge, moderation is good.
When I was 9 months out, I had a small piece of my grandaughters, baby shower cake. It was for my first great grandchild. I didn't dump on it. But was very small piece. Moderation is good, a small piece of cake if you don't dump is not bad. Having the whole cake or most of it by itself is!
I didn't post a whole lot on what others shouldn't be eating, but I was as close to perfect in food types the first 6months as a human can get. I hope I didn't flame anyone that early out even on-line, I know I thought it, but I also knew that I was doing right for me and they had their own journey to take.
Now I make sure I look at the surgery date before saying anything because now I KNOW, by expereince that there is a vast difference.
There is a vast learning process here, and I think I will be still learning several years out, or at least having to go back and remember what I learned in the first several years.
