Say hello and introduce yourself!
Welcome! Yes these boards are great during the pre-op process. I actually didn't find out about OH until just a few weeks before my surgery, but I quickly found another member who had the same surgeon and she was a wealth of knowledge and really helped calm my nerves.

1) Where are you in your weight loss surgery journey? How are you doing so far?
VSG surgery was March 10th. Feeling better/stronger everyday!
2) Any goals that you're currently working on? (weight, health or life related)
Having a hard time getting all my fluids in. Working on that.
3) What words of wisdom would you share with others?
Take things one day at a time and be kind to yourself.
Small sips...small steps are to key in the beginning. Just do your best and refer to your #3.

Hello Sarahlicious and All!
1) Where are you in your weight loss surgery journey? How are you doing so far? I'm 7 years, 9 months, 11 days from RNY surgery. Maintaining my 150+ pound weight loss. Happy as a clam most days (Why are clams so happy? LOL) Still blogging my journey (link below)
2) Any goals that you're currently working on? (weight, health or life related) Recently have found out I am iron deficient (common post RNY issue) and doing a series of infusions to get that back up. All other labs are great though. PSA: Get your labs done every year at least! This week's goal is to reorganize my home office LOL so if you don't hear from me send the troops I'm under a pile of crap ;)
3) What words of wisdom would you share with others? Weight Loss Surgery is not a DO-OVER (repeat same mistakes = get a similar outcome.) Weight Loss Surgery is a DO-BETTER (make lifestyle changes you can continue forever) healthy eating, moving the body, working on the head stuff. Rinse, lather, repeat ;)

Hello all
1. Had a lap band put in Oct. of 2007, had it removed Feb. 2014.To date I have lost 85 lbs which is nice but the last 50 were because the band was trying to choke me to death!
2.Just trying to regain some semblence of health since getting rid of the band (did I mention it tried to kill me?) Landed me in the hospital with rapid heart beat and horrendous pain under my rib cage. Thought I was having heart attack!
3. From day one till the day you die it will take lots of patience with keeping your lifestyle changed if you want to keep the success you worked so hard for! Did I happen to mention the lap band tried to kill me? Oh yeah I guess I did.
