Hi all,

Any recommendations on cookbooks that will take me through all stages after the surgery. The hospital has recommended eating well after weight loss surgery but would like some other options as well.

Thanks!

I bought a few WLS cookbooks and never found them very useful. Save your money and check out some of the great free resources, such as Bariatric Foodie and The World According to Eggface. Even the Food/Nutrition forum here is better than most of the cookbooks available.

You will find great recipes at Theworldaccordingtoeggface.com.  Michele is a very successful patient who loves to cook.  I think you will enjoy her website.

Also, Bariatricfoodie.com has lots of recipes.  Nikki is another successful patient.

I'd skip the cookbooks and stick to the internet.  And this is coming from a cookbook addict :)  I use a lot of Paleo recipes.

I bought several cookbooks and didn't use them once, they were so involved and had so many ingredients. I don't cook that way I'm pretty basic and simple so I would also suggest the internet and save your money for new clothes!

I bought three of eBay, one for just shakes, one is called cook book for dummies after weight loss. The last one I can't recall as a friend has it right now. I loved all of them for random ideas.
