A new appreciation for skinny women

I know I have gone through a lot of emotions after surgery. We change. Not just our bodies.

For me I know I have become more confident in myself. Not just by looks by feeling stronger. Like growing a back bone.

No real question. There doesn't have to be. It was just an observation on my part and I was curious if anybody else had something similar.

I've always been more attracted to skinny men. My husband was skinny prior to my surgery and he's lost about 12-15lbs, but gained a ton of muscle and now I appreciate that we match now. I'm no longer the fat lady with the really fit husband.

What I do notice now is that my definition of skinny has changed. Before I'd see a size 10-12 woman and just think, "My God, I'd kill to be that small" and now I see them as average. My sister who has always been very thin, I can now see is large framed (with very little fat) and I can see that I'm smaller framed (with more fat). We wear the same size jeans.

Like others have said, I hope that my husband can continue to be attracted to me as I shrink. Currently, I'm 30lbs lighter than when I met him so he's literally never seen me this small. Originally, he was worried about me being "scrawny" but I think he's also adjusted to the new me and he likes it.

Well, that will be a relief to skinny women everywhere, since everyone knows that they have such a hard time finding people that are attracted to them, and they are so underrepresented as standards of beauty in our culture.

In a way, they are. I have had two girl friends that could never get a date. One is still unmarried. They were Kate Moss, look aneroxic [sic] skinny. No boobs, no hips, structured like a guy.

And the sick part was, they had to work as HARD at gaining weight as I did in trying to lose it. Seriously, one would literally eat a package of hostess cake rolls or twinkies HOURLY between classes. She would eat personal pizzas for lunch (pizza hut) and make a good dinner (meat and veg and something starchy) and HAVE dessert too!

After one year of this she had gained a whopping 10 lbs. 10.

Some people have all the luck...but she didnt feel lucky. She wanted to look normal

This doesn't need to be drawn in that direction. This was more of an observation on a how my perspective has changed.

I totally understand what you're talking about HFFM!

As large as a 12? As large as? Poor you..you only managed to find someone AS LARGE AS a 12. Re-read that to yourself-over and over.

Some women work their asses off, literally, to end up as a 12-and then they are referred to as "large" in a place that SHOULD BE a safe place to discuss such things.

Bravo.

Not trying to drag this in an odd direction. I wanted to date larger women.
