Thanks! I told myself all sorts of excuses before I did it. I was still too heavy or that I would look horrible or that now it was getting too cold. Glad I just went for it.

Trust me, when I tell you...It's kinda being at the beach...everyone is too busy worrying at how they, THEMSELVES, look, to be worrying about how YOU look !!!! REALLY !!!! And it NOTHING to do with weight/size/ability to run!!

Kudos, to you ---But I must warn you---Running is addicting

when I see someone who is overweight running, I think, that person is incredible getting out and doing it! Then I think, if they are out there, shouldn't I be!!! LOL. You are awesome for trying it! Most everyone isn't looking.

Hey, good for you. Who cares how you look. People probably admire you for giving it a go. And for every "silly" looking runner out there , there are 20 people at home in their recliners. Who is the silly one? DS

Awesome!! I'm trying to learn to "love" running, too. I've stopped and started a couple times over the last few months but really want to keep it up and make it a habit. I signed up for a Gobble Wobble Run on Thanksgiving with a friend and my son, so I at least have to make it though a 2K! My goal is to make it without stopping to walk...may be at a snail's pace, but I will try :)

Good for you! If you want to start getting more into running, I'd definitely suggest the Couch to 5k program. I started it maybe last January and by May I had finished and ran my first 3.1 miles straight on a treadmill. Its a great platform and tool to train with

From there, I'm now training for a half marathon in March and have run several 5ks, and have even more signed up for. I'm like you, hated running before but now actually kind of (scarily) enjoy it! :)

Keep at it, and great job again!
