From Sleeve to DS?? Anyone had this done?

I am considering have the DS after having the Sleeve done in 2008..... before I had three babies! Anyone else gnoe from the Sleeve to the DS? Thoughts?

I was sleeved in 2009, went from 246 to 150. Then in the last 2 years, I regained 25 pounds due to job loss inactivity. So I got the DS April 29th 2013. Have not lost any weight since the surgery. I am 175 and it is not moving!!! Very frustrated, especially since I self paid.

Did fine loosing great and best is resolution of Diabetes, Hi BP , sleep apnea and high trigylerides and CHO. Getting mobility back slowly, Legs have been weak for a long long time. Only usual complications from a second surgery scar tissues / adhesions and with DS the poo poo / gas issues.

Since the sleeve is part of the DS you shouldn't have any problem. One of the options my Doctor walked me through pre op was to have the sleeve first ( since I was a heavyweight at 552 ), use that to lose more weight and then finish the DS at a later date. I was able to lose a lot of weight in the 4 month pre op process so he decided he could do the whole thing in one operation.

I had the sleeve done in 2011 and did not lose all my weight. I had a revision of the sleeve (made tighter) along with the rest of the DS done about a month ago. I am happy with the results--lost 16 pounds already but am still a DS newbie so getting used to bathroom/gas issues.

First goal 120.0: 12/7/13 Final goal 115.0 (114.6): 2/6/14

5'3 SW: 199 (12/11/11) Current: 114.8 pounds 18% body fat BMI: 20.3

Sleeve 2009 and DS 2012. I got a 75cm CC - wish I'd got 50cm. I believe Dr Keshishian does 50cm common channels.

I'm grateful for this surgery and glad I got it done.

I was sleeved in 2007 and added the switch 9 months ago. I had regained 117 of the 189 I'd lost and I've lost 97 since October 2012.

Only regret... I wish I'd done it sooner.

I'm assuming it would be self pay if insurance already paid for the first surgery?

I'm still with a high BMI. I still am thinking about it. Reason I didn't go with it was because of the vitamins commitment. Strangely enough, for me the DS is a major leap compared to the sleeve.
