Lisa - ENJOY every friggin minute of it! I just did my first half two weeks ago. About 5 minutes after, I swore off doing another but now I'm like "OH YEAH!"

I'm so happy for you!

Be happy.

Don't wear anything new!  Not even the cutest thing you see/buy at the expo.  More often than not, they don't work out.

Just like everyone else said, have fun and make it a positive memorable experience.

I'd pay double that to run around the new stadium if I still lived there!

I ran my first last week - my advice is:  make sure you put one foot in front of the other!  Let us know how you do!

Have a great time!  Try not to get too carried away with the starting extravaganza.

Lisa,

I am also running that race in Arlington.  This will be my third half.  I have also ran two fulls.
Number one thing enjoy yourself!!  Have a good nutrition and hydration plan and smile at the finish line for that all important pic!!!

Good luck!

Darrell, that is awesome! Good to know someone else from OH is running in the same race! Good luck to you as well, although you must be a pro by now! You've got quite a few under your belt! What do you suggest as good nutrition on Saturday and Sunday morning? And of course I plan on grinning from ear to ear coming into the finish line!

Thanks,
Lisa

Hydrate all day Saturday with your preferred sports drink.  Regular meals.  Get up Sunday AM early and have a good balanced breakfast at least two hours before race time.  Hydrate some more and then kick some butt!

Good luck!
