Hello Jenn,

I would say that all people lose at different rates. I did not lose the 25+ pounds that first month like alot talk about. I seem to stay at about a 8-10 lb loss monthy but March has been terrible and the scale doesn't seem to move so it may only be 5 lbs this month (4th month out of surgery). I posted something on the "what are you eating today" thread about this, some very smart ladies advised me to start measuring each month because the progress might show in the tape rather than the scale and also to take pictures in the same outfit monthly. I didn't do this from the beginning but it might be a thought for you.

As long as you are following the program I'm sure you will do wonderful.... at whatever rate that may be.

So tired and uninterested today. Thinking about taking tomorrow as a vacation day but hate to waste a day for nothing.

No work for me to do today makes for a very long day.

Le sigh.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Good morning :)

CC, that's too bad and annoying that they messed up your lawn. I was walking the little nugget outside at the in-laws new house and the stroller was leaving little trails in the grass... Definitely muddy season.

Today I think we might attempt a trek to the St. Jacob's market. I haven't been in forever. DH wants to pick up some fish to try.

Post-op four years.

Breakfast - nut bar

Snack - banana and Greek yogurt

Lunch - tbd

Snack - apple and PB

Dinner - BBQ chicken

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday was not the best. The workmen did some damage (not intended). We now have a 500ft dirt road going through our lawn. The grass is torn up and rutted. Their machines did a number in the soft spring soil. There is going to be a lot of raking, leveling and sodding in my future. My poor back. It is what it is and we will have to deal with it. Hoping today is much better.

I am planning on going to the gym today, and hoping to get some errands done. Truthfully, today feels like a day where I just want to stay in bed with the lights out, but stuff needs to get done.

QOTD: Guys, I've got nothing this morning so it's a free for all. Ask anything you like. I may or may not answer, lol.

The eats today at 4 years 8 months post-op are:

B. Rivers of decaf

L. Sausage wrapped in bacon - the bacon is PC Ghost Pepper bacon (thanks Ginny for the idea) sauteed peppers

D. Scrambled eggs with cheese, sauteed peppers, the same bacon (I made the whole pack), steamed asparagus

S. Hot cocoa before bed

1 hour at the gym.

Have a great day everyone.

You're doing great.

Everybody loses differently so you can't compare. I was all over the place. Lose 4 lbs one week and nothing the next and then another drop.

Get ready for a stall. It's probably coming. It's perfectly normal.

Keep on doing what you're doing because it's working.

Topic: Update.

Hello everyone. I was 258lbs when I started Optifast. I lost 15 lb. I was 243 on the day of Surgery. I'm 5 weeks Post Op and have lost 20lbs. I'm currently at 223lbs.

I know of people that have lost alot more in the same amount of time. I'm taking my vitamins religiously and getting all my protein in and slowly but surely I'm able to drink more and more water.

What have your experiences been like?

I was in the other lane from the policeman and the gopher, so I don't know if it ended well for either of them, lol.

Good afternoon :)

We were up and out early this morning to go see my in-laws new house. They have a grandchild with paralysis from a virus he contracted as a baby. Him and his mom will be living on the basement level and they will be living on the top floor -- I think it's a raised bungalow.

QOTD: I can only think of one thing off the top of my head... My friend and I were up north going to do some camping. We were coming around an s-bend at the same time as an old guy in a sedan was coming from the opposite direction . A small deer ran out in front of him, hit the car, and flew about 10 feet up in the air landing on the road in front of my car. Thankfully I was going slow enough to miss it. When the guy pulled over he almost couldn't open the driver door because it was pushed in from the deer. Unfortunately the story didn't end well for the deer.

Snack - cheese and apple

Lunch - some cheese and ham concoction by DH with a spinach salad on top.

Good morning! Well, I did it! Despite waking up exhausted, I was determined. Rolled outta bed at 5:13.

I was at the gym by 5:45, put my towel over the display and started pedaling. I refused to loo****il I was at my normal 45 min. mark to make sure I was on pace. I kept on going....I made it to 20kms but couldn't stop because that was 12.47 miles.....stupid conversion. I had to keep going until it clicked over the 13 mile mark which was just over 21 kms and 55 mins. YAY.

I wanted a pic of the complete workout summary screen but the bike started blinking and I didn't want to lose this!!

I made it to the dentist a half hr early and now here I am at work.

After Gym - PP Chocolate shake

After Dentist - Daryl's H NRG Bar

Lunch - caesar salad with 3.5 oz BBQ chicken breast (great night for it last night)

S - deli turkey, yogurt

D - slow cooked pot roast

Stats are crazy for today - Cal 1286, Protein 150, Carbs 63

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!
