Topic: RE: Prescription Multivitamin and OHIP/Private health Insurance

Guelph recommended 1 prenatal multivitamin per day. I buy these at Costco. If my lab work comes back with low levels on any minerals or vitamins, I have had to supplement separately with those. None of those were covered by insurance. The only thing that I think might be covered by insurance is if you need iron infusions.

Topic: RE: Anybody deal with low potassium.

hello I'm new I'm researching RNY BYPASS.

I've dealt with potassium issues all my life due to kidney problem.

I take sustained release medications 600mg SPAN-K potassium every day

If I go without for even a week I can be in hospital in serious condition.

I'm curious and yet to find a definitive answer on if MALABSORPTION from RNY BYPASS will affect my medication.

I take very high dose and I'm reading people having low potassium issues after bypass, well I was born that way.

In theory I don't see how it could make my issues any worse as I take potassium daily at high dose that is ONLY available on script.

You seem to be dealing with similar issues and Said you were given tablets similar to mine I assume and you're able to take them and manage your potassium issues is that correct?

I've been doing research for months and really need to get bypass due to multiple co morbidities & diabetes!!

APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE!!

Topic: Prescription Multivitamin and OHIP/Private health Insurance

Hello

I'm wondering if there are prescription multivitamins that my doctor could prescribe for me, that I could get filled at the pharmacy. Not necessarily specific vitamins but broader ones. Would these be covered by OHIP or most private health insurance? Anyone done this?

Take one of your Opti shakes and blend it with lots of ice so that it is super thick. Some people have made Opti with less water so that it is more of a pudding consistency.

You are almost there. Don't let your brain sabotage all of your hard work. You've got this girl.

That's how I got the nickname CC. No one wanted to type out CravingChange, and I spelled it wrong by hitting the q instead of the a when I set it up.

I think WIP is a cool nickname. Like I'm whipping you into shape gang.

My steak and crab is leftover from my takeout Valentine's Day dinner. It was so good, and I have enough leftovers for 2 more meals.

The little nugget would be soooooo cute in a little bathing suit. The pool I go to is shallow and warm and they have toddler classes and baby and me classes. There is also a very small viewing gallery. MOST of the babies have a great time and love the warm water. A few will scream and the parent will take them out of the water.

Enjoy your quiet weekend Meg.

Good afternoon :)

I took the little nugget for a swim this morning. It was her first time so that was pretty fun. The pool is shallow and warm so there were lots of other tots there. Not really exercise but it was nice to go out. My grandma surprised us by coming to watch so we had a little visit.

QOTD: I promised DH we would have a very quiet weekend. I want to do some cooking but other than that we don't have any plans.

Post-op three years and eleven months.
