That helps a lot, Gwen, thanks! I think it's mostly just the assistance items I was thinking of. Or things like a waterproof cover/puppy pads for the chair or bed...

Super helpful, Erin, thanks! My toilets are a bit low and considering my thighs will be done too, I think I'll borrow the one my friend has in storage from her hip replacement.

Hi there,

order the tool on amazon that helps you grab things that are too high or low. Will keep you from trying to bend.

I did not use a raised toilet seat at all, but my friend's house had higher toilets already. I used a shower seat for the first 5-6 days but didn't need it after that. I think if I did it again I'd find a plastic chair to use instead.

I rented a power recliner and used that for the first several days. I think if I lived alone I might have kept using it for longer too.

I definitely needed a toilet seat riser for more than the first 5 days after my thigh lift. And a shower stool for both surgeries, just because standing for the entire time of a shower took too much energy.

I never used a walker with any of my surgeries. I did use a cane a few times, but it was mainly so I could beat people up (well, really it was just a warning to other people to steer clear and not bonk me).

I don't know what other things you're wondering about though!

I will be spending the first 5 nights at the recovery center after my lbl and modified medial thigh lift (only top half of my thighs) before coming home.

Are there things I will have needed the first 5 days that I won't need once I'm home? The recovery center will have all the things I might need there like a raised toilet seat, shower stool, walker... I'm just wondering if I need to have everything on the lists I've read ready at home if the first 5 days are covered?

You may want to post a separate, new post for this. I know several people have had facial plastics, but I'm not sure they'll see your post at the end of this older one!

Yes, no intention for it to come off harsh...simply stating given the swelling and tension in early post op days it is hard to imagine things different. I can't wait for some laxity..this is very uncomfortable. And I agree she looks great.
