Thank you! I'm super impressed both with the experience I had with my surgeon and with my body's reaction to surgery. It's all gone very well!

It's weird that you necro'd this post...

But, to answer your question, the first thing you should do is call your insurance company and find out what they require. Oftentimes, there's an employee restriction on services, so no documentation will get reconstructive surgery covered. So it's dependent upon your particular plan - not the insurance company.

well obviously you would live with it if the insurance didn't cover it, not everyone can afford a loan. I think that was kind of rude! No offense doesn't make that comment any better just saying...

what exactly did you have to provide to them to get it covered? What type of time frame did it take to get to that point? I now have UHC as of this year but is a PPO so I dont know if that matters..

11 days post op today. I'm off all medication except Lovenox now. The pain is minimal and pretty much just like muscle soreness and pulling. I'm slow to get up and down. I started using Calendula cream on my incisions last night because they are itchy and Benedryl puts me right to sleep! So far, they all look good and I have no separations.

I uploaded a before and "after" photo to my profile. You have to be 'friends' with me to see it. Of course, there's still plenty of swelling.
