Topic: Need Plastics recommendation for 200 lbs loss patient

Hi all,

I am 15 yrs post op bp/ds with the awesome Dr Dennis Smith in Atlanta (he is now in Florida). although I lost 200 lbs, I just never really thought about plastics. I lost almost half my hair with wls and was scared to be under anesthesia again for long time. Anyway, I got divorced a few yrs ago and much to my shock, I am actually dating again and I am starting to think I might want to feel better about how I look sleeveless or in shorts. I have a lot of hanging skin on my stomach, thighs, arms and really wanna do something about it now. I live in East TN, but I am willing travel anywhere in the country to get a great doctor with a lot of experience with post wls patients.

Thank you for any any all suggestions. :)

Sara

I love this show. It and my 600lb life are what helped me decide to get healthy.

I hope they do a season 3. But I think I'll be paying you a visit later this year since I'm moving back to Texas.

Hey Guys! Thanks for thinking of me. I'm on Day3 post op now and doing pretty well.

I had to be at the hospital at 5:30am and after getting an IV and marked up by Dr. M I was taken back for surgery 7:30am. Something that I didn't realize might happen - I had a really lightheaded reaction to being marked. There was something weird about someone manipulating my skin in such a clinical way. After that they gave me happy drugs and I dont' remember anything until about 6pm that night.

Getting out of bed was probably the most painful thing I've ever done. I will say that Sibley Memorial nailed it on Anesthesia because I as less sick than any other surgery, even though it was so long.

I've tolerated the narcotics very well and am already down to half the dose I'm allowed to take. Tonight I get to shower!

Since people have asked - Erin checked in with me and she's doing well! She's managing her pain and seems to be in good spirits. She's also really happy with her results as much as she's been able to see so far :D

I complained for 3 solid years that I wanted a TT - when my father passed and left me some money, my husband insisted i get the TT - the doctor said i had an umbilical hernia that needed repair, so that was the push I needed to get it done. I'm still pretty swollen, but can see a big difference. I'm sure I'll have no regrets.

Topic: Wound Healing Issues

Greetings all. It has been a long time since I posted. 1 year ago (approximately) I had a Tummy Tuck & an upper body lift. I have had some wound issues with a spot in between my belly button and pubic area that just does not see to want to heal properly. The plastic surgeon has tried numerous things, even went to a wound care dr. and it healed up, but then it will eventually split back open. Anyone else have any similar issues?

I would like to help you but you cant fix stupid.
