Bruising is essentially gone and scars on eyelids are very light.

I remember a few other people posting about ongoing problems. I believe they ended up going to wound care specialists. Have you gotten a second opinion?

I hope you find relief soon.

That sounds miserable. How many grams of protein are you getting? Have you had trouble healing from surgeries/wounds in the past?

I think, in your shoes, I'd go talk to my dermatologist and see if this was possibly a skin issue that they might have insight on.

I'm sorry to hear you're not doing so well. Please keep us updated as this is the next surgery I will be having once I heal from LBL which I'm 5 months postop and still healing very slowly. Please read my blog as any advise would help. Thank you and hope to read more of you postings.

Topic: Lower body lift complications

Hello. I' m 47 and Had lower body lift August 2 2017. Having continued complications. I have followed all my surgeons advise from the start with no lifting....etc. I am almost 5 months post surgery and continue to dehise at surgical site. They start off being mushy then drain then open up. No infection just clear drainage. My last two opening were about 2 weeks ago and I have another spot that may open up soon. I been doing all my followup and pretty much they have to heal from inside out which means wound packing. I have had at least 7 to 8 openings since the start. I also have this pain that goes all the way around incision. It feels like a belt is getting tightened and some days are worse than others. Has anyone had these issues this far out from surgery? It's almost 5 months post surgery. Any ideas? Remember I have followed all doctor advise and have not missed a beat...no lifting....take vitamins...high protein...etc. please help. Thank you.

The last few days (since day 9 Post-op) I've looked pretty normal except for the 3 surgical pins on top of my head (about an inch into my hairline). They are about 3/8 inch in diameter, so not tiny. I have to do sort of a comb-over with my hair to hide them (they will be removed next week at 3 weeks Post-op). The bruises are essentially gone. I used a tiny bit of concealer on the few remaining on my left eye, but they are so slight I don't even mind being seen without makeup. Swelling is still slightly present, but that may take weeks to months to fully resolve from what I hear. I think they already look better than before anyway. Pics below are at 12 days post-op with makeup, without makeup, one of the surgical "pins".

I would wholeheartedly vouch for Dr. Reish in NYC, who did my breasts and tummy tuck. I've seriously never in my life received care from a doctor as top-notch as this. Super responsive, attentive, and he does wonderful work!

I was at goal for like 6 months pre-plastics, but I would have done it sooner. My surgeon didn't have a goal requirement but I will say that getting the plastics certainly makes me want to do everything in my power to maintain my results - much moreso than pre-plastics.

You look fantastic! Can't believe it's only a week post-op! It's impossible to tell.
