Topic: Panni in southern Ontario

I am looking for recommendations for surgeons who will do a panni covered by OHIP. I'm not looking for any extra work right now, but my panni is huge and it makes it extremely difficult and embarrassing to try to work out. My doctor is ready to refer me we just need some names of doctors who will do it (and hopefully a good job of it)

Bonus points for being close to Oshawa :)

Thanks!!!!

Topic: RE: Is it safe to travel to Poland for having plastic surgery?

I had tummy tuck and liposuction 3 weeks ago in Mexico with Dr. Sauceda. I had my PCP on board to see for follow up. I stayed in Mexico for 12 days. I am very satisfied with my experience and highly recommend Dr. Sauceda, if you are willing to go somewhere besides Poland.

Sounds like you have plenty of time to save up for it. I remember desperately wanting a tubal reversal in my early thirties. I had small children at home and was staying home with them, but I wanted it bad enough that I took a job at Wendy's in the evenings after my husband was home and saved every scrap of money coming in to get the reversal done for nearly a year. It was worth every bit of it, as my 2 boys are here because of it! I also decided that I didn't like working at Wendy's. LOL. So I went to nursing school! Where there is a will, there is a way! :)

How long ago was your weight loss surgery? Are you doing what you need to do to lose 100 more pounds or are you hoping the panni will get you motivated? Does the extra skin hinder your mobility?

I would wait until I got to goal, but I don't know your history. Good luck!!

Heidi did you have any success locating a doctor that will do both?

It is an excellent idea. Getting the extra skin off of your stomach will make it easier and more comfortable to exercise and dress. You can always do more surgery after your complete weight loss.

Topic: Panniculectomy?? Or TT?

When told I needed a hysterectomy and since I've lost 150 pounds but am still 100 pounds from goal weight - I decided to have a panniculectomy at the same time as my hysterectomy. I'm reading lots of different information and would like to see what y'all have to say. I really like/ trust my doctor and have not yet asked him his thoughts but have any of you been happy with having a panniculectomy and then going on to lose more weight and finish your body contouring procedures when you were closer to your goal weight?

Thought since insurance should cover cost this was a good way to get me over a hard emotional hump and provide inspiration for me to finally get to my goal.
