I had all my surgeries done at one and did great. I did have the small thigh lift instead of the long thigh lift. I was 59. You move like a little old lady, take care getting in or out of bed. I had one recovery period and was back at work 8 weeks later. I stayed 2 weeks instead of the 12 days.

Even if you're not scheduling until January, you should absolutely be able to ask the surgeon these questions now - and get answers.

That sounds horrible. I can't imagine recovering from all the surgeries I had all at once.

Topic: I want lipo with my surgeries. I do not want t big or even medium pubic mound!

Hello, I really want lip on my stomach and pubic mound. However, I have been told that Dr. Sauceda will not lipo the pubic mound or stomach if he is doing surgery in that area. I DO NOT WANT a big pubic mound. Does anyone know how long you have to wait between lipo and surgery in the same area? Also, I want fat injected into my face and rear so the only fat I have available is in my stomach. Does that mean I need to have separate surgeries. I know these questions are for the doctor, however, I am wondering if anyone has had an experience to share because my surgery is not going to be scheduled until January so I will not be able to ask and figure out the timing for my surgeries. Thank you:)

Hello, I want all my work done. Head to toe including lipo, fat injections, full body lift, facelift, the works. I would love to just stay for 4 weeks and get it all done, but, do you think that is too much for the body to deal with. Also, have you had multiple surgeries and just stayed longer?

Topic: RE: HELP! Can't get my protein levels up, will I still be allowed to have surgery?

I saw an endocrinologist because I was always getting low blood sugar. He said this happens later out in surgeries. I have now increased my protein by taking in 3 protein shakes a day, lowered my carbs and sugar and too my surprise this morning, I lost 5 pounds! In a week! I also have hypothyroid and low iron. I used to have to get iron infusions but when I started taking a b vitamin complex, I no longer have had to get them. My iron is a bit borderline and I want to get one more infusion before I have my plastic surgery which I can not believe is going to actually happen after all of these years.

Topic: RE: I didn't realize plastic surgery was so common

I echo everything that Gwen said - plus add that I don't know if skin issues are common or not (I never had any skin issues). Most of us who pursue PS seem do it for cosmetic and/or functional reasons.

I lost over 200 lbs and had a lot of loose skin. I was (and still am) apple-shaped, so most of it was in my gut, but it was easy to hide. I just tucked it into my jeans or a pair of tummy-control leggings and wore tops that were slightly oversized for me and long enough to cover my gut. No one knew the extra skin was there besides my doctor and my husband.

After a couple of years it started driving me nuts, though - just looking at it and having to lift up that mound of skin to wash under it when I was in the shower. So I decided to have it taken care of. I'm really glad I did it - I look like a "normal" person again (well, at least when I have my underwear on, that is - otherwise, there's a scar that goes completely around my body - but it's very low - below my underwear line). PS is major surgery (and expensive, too), though, so I don't think many people pursue it. My surgeon said he thought about 10% of his patients pursue it - but I think it was just a guess. Sounds plausible, though.

Sounds like a plan for the protein.

Because of thyroid and other issues, I'm now seeing an endocrinologist. She is advising the probiotics also, as generally helping with regularity after taking iron.
