No kidding either!  I don't know what the heck is going on with my body and I'm not even sure what doctor to go to for help.  I worry it's WLS and vitamin deficiency related or OB-GYN related or is it something else all together. A couple weeks ago, I bought some new boots that have about a 3 in heel and wore them for about 5-6 hrs.  This is a big deal for someone who only throws on sneakers to take her kiddo to school and do the occasional trip to Walmart.  When I got home, there was some strange tingling in my middle toes on my right foot, but I figured they were stressed from the boots.  A couple days later, still tingling and sharps pains when I'd try the boots back on so I just figured I'd let my foot get back to normal.  It's been 2 wks now and I still get the tingling feeling with sharp shooting pains (like when your leg falls asleep) but it also feels kinda numb.  Jason thinks I'm paranoid, but it seems a little strange to me that it would still be bothering.  So, onto the title!    This morning, I was feeding Emma Kate her bottle in our leather recliner and when she was done, I carried her to the kitchen to put her bottle in the sink and hubby was standing there.  I turned around, and my hips, vaginal area and thighs lost their feeling and went numb!!  I mean, I had that tingling sensation like they fell asleep and it last for about 15 minutes.  Almost like a spinal block in that small region.  What the heck is wrong with me?  Evidently, I'm not normal because WebMD has no answer!  LOL  Does this sound like something I should worry about?  And who would you mention it to?  I want to make sure I ask the right doctor what is wrong with my numb toes and vagina.  How embarrassing!  You guys still love me though, right?  LOL Erica

I have had my vagina fall "asleep" before after sitting in a chair for awhile. I just dont worry about it. It went away. My toes on my left foot fall asleep all the time. I just ignore it.  If it continues for a couple of weeks or is still worrying you, go see your doc. It doenst make sense to worry about it. Just go ask.  Still love ya!! Have a good day

Have you ever worn tight jeans and sat on the crotch seem for too long? You sorta get the same feeling (and a clue to buy bigger jeans lol). Also, if you were stimulating certain parts of the bottom of your feet, it most certainly CAN affect different parts of your body---reflexology. Anyway, it also could just be your body healing from labor and delivery. I would mention it to your OB at your check up if it continues to happen or becomes bothersome.

Do you mean your actual vagina (up inside) or the area of the labia (outside / lip area)? When I lay in bed nursing the baby, without supporting my legs, my insides will fall asleep.  I freaked out the first time it happened but it keeps happening, I fugure it is cut nerve endings or something from the c-section. This has always happened .. not just post baby ... If I sit weird my outside parts will fall asleep.  Mostly if I sit at the computer hunched forward on the office chair. Could be something with your saicatic nerve (may have mispelled that) that goes from you bum to your toes ...

God Bless! Jen

it sounds to me like you may have thrown your back out of wack while wearing the high heels.  When I have a flare-up in my back I will have numbness in distinct areas, depending on what nerve has pressure on it.  could be my big toe, my whole leg, or my buttock...as examples.   Sitting in the recliner may have exacerbated it, and once the swelling eases off, feeling usually comes back, with my experience. good luck, and i hope you get it figured out!! ~Christyy
