Sterilized against her will

well at first i was thinking well maybe you can insert an iud if having a c-section but then i was thinking they just place it in there. BUT. you have to have the string dangling from the cervix so they would have to do it vaginally... so hmm.. i have no idea..

either way the article does say they don't have a signed consent and with mass health there has to be a signed consent sent for aproval 30 days before the surgery. My sister is going for sterilization (tubal) and had to sign one already because they are sure when they would have to do her c-section

 
 I'm not sure why anybody thinks that healthcare professionals would not lie or ABUSE THEIR POSITION.  It happens everyday and most of the time goes unnoticed or is swept under the rug.  I know there are good professionals out there but there numbers seem to be shrinking.  The American system is being tested and a lot is going on that most Americans have no idea about.  Could this have happened, yes.  Did it, I don't know but I would not devalue or discredit her accusation.  So what she has 9 kids already?  I just read a post from someone on this board that was on her 8th.  More power to her!  Doctors and nurses along with other healthcare professionals employed by hospitals/clinics are representatives of organization and do not consult the hospital board everytime they do something (give a pill, make a cut, etc).  The hospital relies on them as professionals to make ethical decisions regarding the patient.  That's why they take a oath.  Many a doctor has violated the public trust in the name of science or reproductive genocide.  It's wrong!!!  I hope they pay out their azzes for this, if they did it.  They had no right to do it.
