Opinion on Baby names
So, my turn to post. I've been really worried about finding names- I'm nearing 25 weeks with twin boys. Last night I had this dream that they were both here, lying side by side, and I still didn't have names for them. Here's what we've been looking at, keeping in mind that my husband is Peruvian with strong Incan roots-
Khael Simeon (Simeon was his Dad's name)
Pronounced Ky-El
Now, I like Khian- It's actually gaelic, which is my ancestry. We want to pair it with my Dad's name, which is Thomas, so-
Khian Thomas (Pronounced Key-un)
But hubby doesn't want their names to match, but I kind of do. What thoughts are there about that? I know they are individuals, and I plan on raising them as such. I also wondered about the K spelling- it is too feminine? Khael is an Incan name, and we want to use that, so the K is it. In the "baby name" books Khian is spelled Kian- I added the H to make it look more like Khael. So, what are your thoughts? Too feminine looking? I just worry about it. Thanks for the advice ladies! This is a tough choice- I could name two little girls in a heartbeat, but I really struggle with boy names. We wanted something different, as our daughter's name is very different. Here is what the names would look like-
Khael Simeon Merino
Khian Thomas Merino
Thanks!
I like to spell them how I like them and I like names also that not everyone around us has. Nothing against normal names or anything I just love picking names at the time are not common and then making the spellings how I sound them. Drives the MIL crazy but thats just a bonus!! Jarrid 10-12-98

BTW, I really like Simeon.
