question about post partum period

 hey everyone!  Aidan was born 3/30 and i bled for about 2 - 3 weeks after.  i have not gotten a period since :(  is that normal????  i took a preg. test even though we've used protection b/c i thought it was weird....it was neg.  

im supposed to have an iud put in next week

any insight? 

If you are breastfeeding, it is very normal to not get one. I did not get one for over a year with both. The second one I actually stopped breastfeeding at 8 months and still did not get it for 4 more months after.

 i'm not breastfeeding :(  I stopped about 7 or 8 weeks ago 

My OB said that the hormones can take control for a while and I might not get a period for a few months. Mia was born 2 1/2 weeks ago and I've barely been spotting now for about a week. I want to call the OB and get back on BC pills so I have them for when AF shows up though, don't want to get preggers again just yet! lol

Plus if you are losing weight again it could effect your fertility.

To rule things out start monitoring your temps in the morning to see what is going on with your body.
