Good morning!

How many of you have tried fertility monitor and have had success?
I have been doing the ovulation test kits (Answer brand I think it is) and it keeps giving me negative for past couple of months.

I have PCOS too and I am taking Fortamet (same as Metformin) to help me with ovulation..have been on it for a couple of weeks.

What brand of ovulation test kit do you use?

Thanks

I used the opk's but the month I got my BFP I used the clear blue easy fertility monitor.
I really liked it. It pretty pricy but I got mine on e-bay and paid almost half of what they sell for in the store. good luck!

Do you have a Big Lots around you? I was at my local store and they had a slew of different ones for 50 cents each. But I haven't ried any yet .

I had success after being diagnosed with unexplained infertility yeas ago using Clear Bue Easy OPK. The OPK I use now is the Clear Blue Easy Digital test. With all other brands I was left with guessing if the test/reference line was dark enough to be considered a positive or was it too light. Clear Blue Easy digital OPK takes the guess work out and it gives you a smiley face if it's positive and just a Circle if it's negative. They're a little more expensive, but when you're TTC no amount of money is too high.

I used the Clear Blue easy Monitor. We used it last summer and I had a BFP but lost the baby at 10 weeks and then we used it this past January and I got pregnant our first month trying with it. I'm now 22 weeks pregnant! It is the best!!! For me worth the money for sure!

we tried using opk's for awhile with molly then after no luck switched to the monitor, i used opks until it was getting darker then i would use the  monitor because the monitor sticks were so expensive we got pregnant with molly using the monitor i believe it was my second month. I really beleive that it does a better job predicting the "egg drop". Good Luck!!!

I got pregnant this time using a saliva fertility monitor.  You lick it, let it dry and then examine through a little easy to focus lens.  If you see "ferning" or anything that looks like straight lines, you get busy.  It worked really quickly, too!  The first month, I was fertile when DH was out of town so we missed the egg, and the second month, BAM.  I will never buy OPKs again.  I actually got a negative one the day my first child was conceived.
