Breastfeeding issues
I think you're right. I should just keep breastfeeding until either she doesn't want it anymore or until I know for sure I want to stop.
I have been getting her to latch onto the other breast throughout the night so I guess that's good. She just was getting so frustrated with it earlier and it is much more sore than the other breast. I noticed she does have a harder time getting milk out of it though. There is much less swallowing.

Wow, I am having exactly the same issues. Basically, I want to stop because my supply is so low I have been taking Brewers Yeast and just started Fenugreek at the suggestion of some of our friends here, yesterday. I will try this for a week but it is really discouraging when you only get a few drops of milk and you still have to buy formula and products to help production. I checked out the website someone just left for you and am thinking of trying that supplementation device. I'm sorry I can't remember who, but thanks anyway. I would also like the information on the medicine that is so controversial. I would love for the BF to work for us but I'm wearing down minute by minute too.

I tried unsuccessfully to breast feed my little one - Poor munchkin was pretty much starving but of course I didn't know it at the time. The first week that I was home from the hospital he only gained an ounce, so they told me to supplement with bottles and the next week he gained a pound! I supplemented for a couple weeks but it was a nightmare - all I did was feed him! And when I tried pumping I would only get an ounce or so, so I gave it up even though everyone tried to guilt me into keeping it up - it was like a weight had been lifted! I was so much more relaxed and began to enjoy feeding time instead of stressing out all the way through it. I say you do what you are comfortable with, but if nursing is a source of stress then it might not be for you. My formula fed munchkin is a beautiful, healthy 2 year old! Best of luck to you!
Thank you for your response. In the last few days she is getting frustrated when I breastfeed her. I think my supply might be diminishing. I don't think breastfeeding is going to last much longer. I don't want to frustrate her. I know that my first daughter was formula fed too and she is very healthy and smart also, so I know that babies do well on formula too, I was just hoping to be able to breastfeed more I guess.
