10 weeks and running a 5k tomorrow
Well, I was going to just flick it in, but then I decided that I would just go and take it easy. I have been running for a little over a year now, and I did my last 5k in 26 minutes (ranked 4th in my female age group out of 79 runners!) but I'm just going to walk briskly and jog at a moderate pace without elevating my heartrate too much.
It should be a nice day tomorrow, not too hot... plus it's at 7am so it's not in the heat of the day. I plan on eating a nice breakfast and taking a baggie of cheerios with me just in case I get low blood sugar, and of course I'll stay hydrated.
I'm actually kind of excited. Jillian Michaels is supposed to be there at the finish line to greet all the runners, so I hope to have my picture taken with her.

Thanks! It was fun. I didn't really "run" because I didn't want to overexert myself... but I finished in 42 minutes. A far cry from my first 5k! LOL. It was a pretty fun day. Nice and cool, the sun never came out. And they gave away bananas and water. :)
