Need help!! Nausea and hunger pains in the middle of the night!
Ok I had the sleeve and I am about 9 or 10 weeks along. I am having to eat every 2-3 hours are I get nausea really bad. Now it is waking me up in the middle of the night. I wake up with hunger pains and serious nausea. Is anyone else having the same problem. I do get up and eat crackers and fruit but I can not continue getting up every two to three hours. I have a call into dr to see if there is anything he can do to help with the nausea at night.
I am just worried that maybe I cant eat enough to keep me and the baby happy!
Let me know what you think!!!!

My OB and NUT recommended keeping crackers with PB and water next to the bed. I would keep them there and nibble on them when I got up to go to the bathroom. Try having a protein rich snack before bed too and see if that helps. You can also try (if you can drink it ) a glass of milk with you get up.
I've heard people say to try and eat some protein since it stays with you longer. Honestly, nothing really helps me. I was up all night last night every hour nauseaous as hell, but I have hyperemesis. Your doctor may be able to give you zofran or something to help you sleep (it's an anti nausea med).
Good luck hun, and remember baby only needs 300 calories to grow so you are feeding him/her plenty!

I get so hungry my stomach just aches for food and I have been answering her calls! LOL! Not all my snacks are healthy one but for the most part ...
Call your Doc of course or peace of mind but I say EAT and get your water in.
Good luck,
Cathie

I am 27 weeks pregnant and almost 1 yr post GB. I would get hungry and nauseated like you, early in my pregnancy. After I ate some, I would be fine. Eventually I stopped having that problem. My baby and I are both healthy and good at this point. So I suggest to just eat something healthy since you will be going back to bed once you eat. Maybe you'll not have that problem in a few weeks. Good luck to you and Congrats!
