Severe Back Pain

Hi Ladies, this is my first time posting on this board, but I've been on OH for many years. I'm currently 28 weeks preggo & 3 years out from my Gastric bypass. Saturday I started having mild low back pain but taking some tylenol helped releive the pain. Sunday, hurt worse & tylenol helped a little. Yesterday, Monday, I was hurting so bad that I couldn't stand up straight & took tylenol at 0530 & then again at 0930, never having any relief. I ended up in L&D since they were worried that I might have been in Pre-term labor. Well after 4 hours of monitoring, the baby looks great & no contractions. The back pain never lets up & yesterday I also started to having pain in my lower stomach right at my bikini line. The OB just said it's normal pregnancy pain of things are shifting due to the weight of my stomach & that it's only going to get worse. She gave me a Support belt & sent me home to rest. After laying down all night, I wake this morning only to have the same pain I was having yesterday.

Something just doesn't feel right at all. I never had pain like this with my first & I was 120lbs overweight. I'm worried that it's something worse, since I'm never getting any relief. Maybe nothing related to the actual baby but something with me. Did or does anyone have horrible back & bikini line pain that never goes away?

They just hooked me up to the monitors in L&D that are on your belly that monitor for contractions & the baby's heart rate. They did a take a urine sample but it was clear, so they don't think it's kidney stones. That's what I was thinking, since I just had passed 2 kidney stones in Janurary of this year, but with the clear urine they disregaurded that. I'm currently 28 weeks.

I would look for a maternity chiropractor. I had never had back pain at 300+ pounds, then I picked my 2 year old up and was blinded by the pain. I had a few disks out of place and some other alignment issues. I have continued to see my chiropractor throughout this pregnancy as she specializes in pregnant women and I look forward to each adjustment because the relief is unbelievable. Nothing else helps with the pain but being adjusted.  Hope you get some relief soon. -Tiffany
