What are my chances?
Just wondering if anyone has any encouraging words...and yet truthfulness for me?
I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months. So far no luck.
Doctor was nice enough to call me in clomid. Took it on schedule, all that good stuff.
Well, hubby isn't totally a willing participant so our baby making moments are few and far inbetween..so we totally did the deed on day 14...but the doctor says to try on day 14, 16 and 18.
So, long story short I injured him with my fingernail inadvertantly. So I think day 14 was our only baby-making moment.
What are the chances that it was enough???
History: last pregnancy took 9 months to conceive and we resorted to clomid and it worked first time around. I'm hopeful for this time too.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hugs,
Jessica

No, he doesn't want any more kids. He didn't want the first one. But he knows I want kids. He knows I'm not 'preventing'. So if it happens it happens...but he's not willing to go the extra mile to make it happen :-(
He is great with our son, it took 3 years, but to see them now you never would have guessed.
Back in September I was given an 18-24 month window before the possibility of needing a full hysterectomy. I'm 31...so I am wanting at least one more baby before time runs out.

Hubby and I can only have sex on weekends. We have opposite schedules so that is our only time together. For anything, not just sex. I got pregnant twice with weekends only. Miscarried the first one but I am getting ready to enter the home stretch next week.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

My Husband and I tried for a few months as well without clomid. I went to see my OBGYN and she told me to start trying on days 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, and if we wanted 17. Sperm can live for a couple of days so your chances of starting before you actually ovulate become greater in connceiving because sperm are still viable inside of you by day 14 giving you a greater chance because with more sperm swimming around the better. Well we tried the next month again with no clomid and it happened. I have been infertile for 10 years, but with the help of the dramatic weightloss from surgery and with our OBGYN's advice we were able to finally conceieve a baby. I am now 13 weeks and just had an ultrasound. Watching our baby move around and kick was one of the best moments in my life aside from adopting our son three years ago.
Thank you for the inspiration!!
I guess day 14 doesn't sound so bad...at the same time I'm hoping it wasn't too late...reading that your doc said day 10, 12, etc.
But if I recall...we were intimate on day 10...plus day 13 (without him completing). So I guess maybe?
I know too (31 years old and my mother didn't teach me a lot growing up...) that from around day 10 till day 15 I seemed at a higher libido than...does that mean anything? Plus I felt all swollen inside...like someone puffed up my uterus. That has finally passed too. Gotta love side effects.
Congratulations on 13 amazing weeks. I pray that you have many, many more successful ones to come! Also congrats on your son :-)
