There are a few VSG ladies that got pregnant only a few weeks/months post-op. If you scroll back a few pages you'll see their posts.

I was 9 mo post-op with my surprise pregnancy. I know 18-24 months is optimal to wait, but tell that to my failed IUD...

Can you tell me about what vitamins/supplements you took?  How did you boost your calories and protein intake?  I read that you only actually need an additional 100 calories for the first trimester and 200-300 for the second and third.  Did you continue to lose weight throughout the first tri or did you stablize or gain?  How mch did you gain overall (if any)?  I've also heard that VSG patients are not considered high risk because there are no issues with malabsorbtion.   I got a very faint line this morning but it's early, my period's not even due till Friday.  My boobs are KILLING ME, though and that and heartburn were my first clue with my other pregnancies so I tried one of those early prediction tests and was surprised to see the line pop up.
Ok, I'm rambling.  I'm also wondering if I should bother to call my OB and/or surgeon/nutritionist tomorrow or wait a few days and test again?
Oh man, I mean, this is one of the reasons I wanted the surgery in the first place, but dang.  I didn't realize it was going to be so complicated. lol

I take Prenate DHA once a day, Pepcid complete twice a day (it has calcium), & I took Progesterone for the 1st 14 wks due to some bleeding. My pouch does not tolerate protein shakes very well. So, I try to make protein rich food choices. I did lose about 5 lbs throughout the 1st trimester due to nausea, kidney infection, etc., but baby has been growing great the whole time. I have maintained my weight during the 2nd trimester. I hope to gain a few in the 3rd trimester which starts for me in just a few more weeks.
