Relief and Answers!
Hey everyone! Well, I'm home from my appointment (LONGGG) and I finally have answers. It has been determined that I am now 10 weeks and 2 days pregnant. My due date is now March 6, 2011.
The intravaginal ultrasound was very easy and wasn't all that uncomfortable with the yeast infection. They gave me an ultrasound pic to take home...which I still can't stop looking at. I got to see the baby's little stubbs for arms and watched tis little heart flutter. NP says baby is healthy and in great shape so far. My blood pressure was a little high...130/90...so I have to go back in 2 weeks for a recheck. She also gave me a scrip for some meds to get rid of the yeast infection :)
I'm still in Shock! But, I have to admit it- I'M OFFICIALLY PREGNANT! :) It's got to be one of the greatest feelings in the world to hear those words and see that little gummy bear in the picture...my mother got my text and says...looks like a little fish in a big fish bowl! LMAO!
Hugs

Great news about the u/s!
130/90 is high. do you have a home BP machine? They're pretty reasonably priced at CVS and places like that and it might be a good idea to check your BP at home. (don't trust store machines, those are almost never calibrated and can give falsely high or low readings)
It's possible you just had "white coat hypertension" today, but high BP is nothing to fool around with during pregnancy. 140/90 is what most OB's consider dangerously high.

Well, I was pre-hypertensive before surgery and high bp runs in my family. My last visit was 10 days ago and I was 122/82, so the nurse practicioner figured a lot of it could be due to my stress over the ultrasound and pap and that's why I'm scheduled for an appointment in 2 weeks. My next visit I'll actually see the Dr insitead of the NP. I have however quit smoking, haven't drank since I found out (which I really like to drink my wine) and I've dropped caffeine almost entirely, so she is think the "white coat syndrome" applied to me today and they're going to double check it with a 2 week follow up. I also had quit smoking for 2 weeks prior to my last appointment and then after the appointment I had a relapse and smoked quite a few last weekend. However, last Sunday around 10 I had one last cigarette and haven't even had the urge to touch another. My NP was really awesome and is a post surgical patient as well. so she knows what to be watching for and is excellent! I lucked out to have someone who has been in my shoes helping with my medical care! :)
She also told me my hemoglobin was a 14, which was awesome for me being 3 and a half years post op :)
