So I have put it off long enough. I bought new bra's like 4 months into pregnancy...because the girls are growing like mad!! They are getting to small now. SO I thought I'll try to save some money and just buy nursing bras so I don't have to buy more after the baby is here. I'm large chested. The last bras I bought were a 40 E. I wonder what size to buy for nursing since my milk will be in. And what bras did you girls like best for nursing???

I LOVED my Medela "full fit" bras! If you have a lactation consultant at your hospital, they sometimes sell them. I bought mine online though, and they were so comfortable, and made my breast actually stand up instead of sag. They are about $40 a piece but they are so worth it. I went to www.breakoutbras.com they have a 10% off sale right now too. I tried a whole lot of different nursing bras, but those were my favorite!

Jackie~ I have bought every nursing bra from Walmart, Target, Jcpenney, Victoria Secret, and Motherhood. I like Medela Sleep bra for night nursing or a nursing tank from Glamourmom. But my favorite bra is Bravado Body silk seamless it is sooooo supportive and comfortable. I bought the DD and it fits great. My milk is established but i still get FULL when Bella goes several hours without eating. There is a size guide that helps you for when you first start BF'ing. It's very accurate! Yes hey are alittle pricey but WELL worth it. I wish I would have gotten those when I was still pregnant so that wire wasn't poking me. Hope that helps!!

Jackie,

I wish I could relate - at least a little. The one thing I was looking forward to about being pregnant was getting bigger breasts. HAH!! I started out a size "A" and I'm over 27 weeks...guess what? Still an "A". I haven't bought one single new bra!!

My luck...

If I decided to breast feed, this poor little boy may starve!! LOL (I know they say size doesn't matter...sure...heard that before...LOL)

Good luck
Kina

I was a 36 D (or so I thought) before baby so I had bought 1 bra at wal-mart for $15 til my milk came in and I could go get fitted at a bra store. When I went to the breastfeeding store here, I measured 34 H and ended up spending $400 for 3 bras and a sleep bra. Surely I could have gotten less expensive ones but I wanted good support and I told the lady I didn't have a pricepoint..

My suggestion is to wait and get fitted with the right cup size... believe me, II never would have thought I'd grow to an H cup!

I would just buy a normal bra now and wait on the nursing bra.   My regular bra size is a 38 B.   When I breastfed Hannah I ended up wearing  a 40 D (from Motherhood maternity).    I figured I would be able to wear the same size after Noah.  WRONG!   I had to get more bras.   I went from wearing a 38 B to wearing a 36 E with him!   What's funny is that the 40 Ds were too big, so I thought I needed to go down a cup size.   My problem was the band size was too big.   I never dreamed in a million years I would need a size E ( I love it though lol).

I also love motherhood maternity sleep bras.   I don't have anything to compare them too though.   That is the only brand of nursing bra I tried.    I would strongly suggest actually going to a store and getting fitted.    When I get Noah weaned I plan on doing that again.    I'm sure I'll be back to my B (or maybe even an A if they keep deflating lol).

I agree with amy about waiting. I got maternity tanks from target to start off with. Super duper comfy for around the house and night feeds. I think they were about 15 bucks and so worth it. I wore them in the hospital. Too big and saggy to go without a bra and they held a pad in place. Good luck. Shari
