Claritin during pregnancy question.

Can we take it during pregnancy? Left a message for my doctor asking this, but she hasn't gotten back to me as yet. I have congestion soooooooooooooooooo bad and it's driving me nuts!!! I feel like all day I'm choking on mucus. If not Claritin, what will work for us soon to be moms/RNYrs? Thanks for any advice you can give.

 I know I was allowed to take benedryl and Tylenol sinus.  But I would try calling your Dr back and finding out for yourself.

Claritin is a category B drug and safe to use while pregnant. Just make sure it *just* claritin and not Claritin D, which is not safe to use.

My OB says that it's fine to take Sudafed/decongestant (for congestion) & Zyrtec/antihistamine (for allergies/runny nose). These are my go-to drugs for sinus headaches.

yes, i took zyrtec also, they are both safe.  i took zyrtec my whole pregnancy

Thanks so much Ladies, my doc did clear me to use Claritin. Amen!!!! I need relief!!!!
