well I had a baby boy angel at 20wks then had Molly full term I had PIT during labor which was awful but my water broke so I had to because I wasn't having reg contractions and I was positive group b strep so I had 24hrs and did NOT want a csection that was my issue I wanted to avoid a section at all costs. Then I had pit after birth but it was a small dose. I had a small tear, I was against episotomy too I would rather tear but she came fast went from 5cm to complete and crowing between 530 and 730. I had oxygen and bf and the fundal massage. My bleeding wasn't too bad in my opinion...I have worked l and d and postpartum so I have seen women really bleed! I suffer from depression anyways but I do think I had PPD also. Also I think interventions sometimes can postpone your milk coming in. Mine didn't come in until 5days PP

that's great that you are able to do it natural!

Your birth plan looks well thought out.  The only point I have never seen mentioned is the postpartum pitocin....never had that request before.

As an OB nurse, I am one of those nurses that LOVE taking care of natural birthers.  Though all births are wonderful, moms that birth without meds have a birth that seems so much more emotionaly gratifying for the woman and her family.  It is such a neat expereince to be able to assit these women.

With all the meds that some women receive some births are more like having the appendix taken out.  The whole dynamics of the labor and delivery is different.
