I have a few questions for everyone..

I had RNY on 1/29/09, I did great on my weight loss.

Well here I em almost 23 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. I have major fears, super fears. I was doing great at not gaining much weight, I was only up 5lbs about 2.5 weeks ago. I got on the scale this morning I'm up 9lbs, I'm freaking out. Seeing the scale move scares the crap out of me, I know we should gain weight during pregnancy. When I look at the scale, I just think omg I'm going to get up to almost 400lbs again ( which I will not I know that ). I'm always hungry, I mean starving. I try and wait it out and see if it is a head hunger, but at 3am I wake up starving, to the point I can not go back to sleep.

How much weight has everyone gained? and our my fears a normal fear?

Last time I weighed (I stopped weighing so much cause it just depressed me too much) I was up 35 pounds. I am eating all the time. My blood sugar drops and I have to eat or I get sick. I don't eat much at a time tho, Just enough to keep me from getting sick. It's almost like I snack all day. I eat about every 2-3 hours. Sometimes less, sometimes more.

I would say your fears are normal from what I have seen on here. Try not to stress it. I know, easier said than done.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

You are only 14 pounds up at 23 weeks pregnant.  You are doing excellent.  Quit bashing yourself about gaining weight...it's normal...it's healthy...it's in control.  You may be hungry all the time...just make sure you have healthy choices availalbe at all times...even for 3 a.m. snacks.  Keep some cheese sticks and whole grain crackers and have a few of them in the middle of the night...protein to fill you up...something to keep your stomach settled.

The scale is not your friend right now...it's playing mind games with you.  Stop worrying about it and enjoy the fact you're healthy and pregnant.

You are doing great. Its normal to gain a little more at this point. Your baby is gaining weight really fast now. Try not to beat your self up.
